You blokes are premature. We always start the season with a major player out long term (masoe, hunt, Stanley etc) so I predict Widdop to dislocate his hip again during the four nations. Mary goes with Hutch/McCrone as half/five-eight. Masoe instead of Ah Mau. Otherwise as per Coast's selection. First win round 4.

First Choice Back Ups:

Vaughan,AhMau,Sele,McCrone,Herbert,Havilli,Kerr,Lafai,Dufty,,Marketo,Matthews. Youth should be the focus next year. This is a good mix of Experience and Potential.

And i wouldn't mind if one or all these players, Nona,Dodd and Chris Lewis, are offered an NRL contract.

As for the rest they should stay in the Cutters or be moved on.

Plus the fact we still have to keep an eye out for a quality halfback.
Other than a 1/2 we have a very capable lineup to make us competitive in 2017. Without a new coach we could properly finish between 8 and 12, with a capable first grade coach, somewhere in the bottom half of the eight is a strong possibility.

Speed to burn in the backs, widdop as extra ball player from fullback and safe as a house defender.
Hutch and Mann with Widdop to help out...
Our speedy backs will get good clean ball.
And up front... its all size and aggression!!
Kerr is all about a big body that can run hard and has a little step as well.
Vaughan offers a little more then AhMau in my opinion.
No JDB... i want boys that can attack!! Love the guy but wouldnt be in my 17.
Youthfull side that has size, speed, and skill.
But team 1 is how a sane coach would go.

this season hasn't finished yet and you are so negative about our h/b position I believe that Drew will rise to the occasion in 17 as there is no benji in front of him I watch the cutters gf and drew could have done no more than he did and was cool as a cucumber kicking that fg head of a first grade half get behind Drew stop the negativity
