"Ay give the young blokes ago," cried the yobo at the pub. Well NSW have given plenty of young players a go this year and they have showed very little. That wonderful solution to ever teams problems thast constantly trotted out ie blooding young talent, has been shown up as not always being the answer. Yet here we are with some clowns on here demanding the selectors be sacked because they didn't pick in form young players. I'm just wondering who else they could have gone for. Newsflash NSW, Qld have better players than you and it doesn't matter who you picked this year you would never have matched our talent.

So what is always the answer?

NSW had to try something, it just backfired in picking Pearce, he was only there because Wallace got injured and if he had passed fit he would have had no game time beforehand. Israel Folau could have turned out to be a dud at Origin level, theres still questionmarks over Slater at this level (although he played well tonight).

Fact is you cant blame the selectors for picking youth to try something. Its better than going with old players who cant set themselves in a long term position to ensure the future of NSW.
