Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation
Saturday, March 25, 2006 - 4:06 PM
The Round 4 Telstra Premiership blockbuster between the Parramatta Eels and Nth QLD Cowboys will take extra significance with both teams to wear rainbow shoelaces in support of organ donation.
Zaidee's rainbow foundation was established in 2005 to create awareness around the benefits or organ donation. Seven year old Zaidee Turner died suddenly in 2004 and was the only child under 16 in Victoria to donate her organs and tissues.
Zaidee's gift of her organs has allowed other children to live, however the need to create greater awareness around the benefits of organ donation - especially amongst children remains.
By wearing rainbow laces, both the Eels and Cowboys are showing their support. Please click on the link below to find out more information about Zaidee's Rainbow foundation. www.zaidee.org
