The USARL Pioneers are sending a developmental squad to Kingston Jamaica on April 2-7 to play two games vs the Duhaney Park Red Sharks Rugby League Club -Duhaney Park, Jamaica and the Hurricanes. The games will take place on Thursday April 3 and Saturday April 5.
We are looking for any interested players from any league and skill level that might have an interest in getting some international rugby league exposure.
It is a self funded trip for flights and hotel rooms, but we will take care of the transfer costs.
Hotel rooms are poolside at the Hotel 4 Seasons in New Kingston and 3 to a room for $120 to split between players. meals on the island are very reasonable.
Anyone interested please contact Ryan McGough at [email protected]
If you are interested in booking a flight, make sure to use the same connection from Atlanta as the others have used in and out of Jamaica. Details below.
Jamaica Tour

Well Canada announced the colonial cup schedule against the USA Tomahawks, so yes they still exist.
But in what capacity is another question.
It will basically be Curtis Cunz and Ben Kelly selecting a team - hardly an USA representative team

I think your best way to keep up with the Pioneers games will be through the Jamaican Rugby League facebook and twitter feeds.

USARL Pioneers win their inaugural tour match 48-20 vs. the Duhaney Park Red Sharks in Kingston Jamaica! Mike Garvey scores 4 tries for the Pioneers, and Matt Scherr, Craig Webb and Jared Frymoyer also get one each for the upstarts. Well done boys and good luck on Saturday vs. the Hurricanes! GO THE USARL and the JAMAICAN RUGBY LEAGUES!!

Listening to Jamacian accents here, that's why we need them playing RL :D

For you Romeo, West Indian accents are popular in Australia, we hear them frequently during cricket season.

Good start for the USA Pioneers and good one the guys that made the trip and history being the first ones to wear the Pioneers jumpers. Looking forward to some more guys showing up and wearing the colors!
Any idea where the next tour could be?
Love seeing a true american outfit!

Ideally we would like to do some domestic tours to play the Midwest, Texas and West to get them up and running and some good competition.

That's great to hear that there is a hope to grow rugby league elsewhere in the USA, keep up the great work.

Just heard Spinners views on The State of Play. Great goal and sounds like exciting times ahead.
