Yes, he's a f**k load better than Latimore despite the best attempts of many here trying to reduce their careers to a 3 game sample size to pretend otherwise. Over 500k is within reason when it was contracted for long ago, is not all on the salary cap and is probably about what Souths consider he's worth to them, Souths with their f**kload better performing forwards than ours.

I know Tim has been disappointed for a while that he was on the outer with Gus and to a lesser extent Ivan. A few weeks ago Tim and his manager decided to go over Gus head to resolve the issue and arranged a meeting with The Board however just as that meeting was about to start, Gus rang and said he couldn't make it which didn't particularly help the situation. All along Tim has known Souths wanted him.

Well I disagree, $500k is elite or top end player money for a guy who can't even outperform a journey prop.

Yes I understand he's young and has further room for development, but regardless you can't be paying a guy that much given (a) his production over the past 2 years, and (b) if he doesn't wanna be here

f**king Graham who gets dominated in every single 1 on 1 ruck and regularly runs for less than 7.5m per carry a game will be on 700k next season. This is where the market is. Grant is a long serving player and can be paid from the 200k pool, we're pretty short on those.

The only way losing Grant is okay if we get a better prop in for less money. If Kite, McKendry, Plum and Latimore are our primary props next season, we are f**ked.

Like it our not, teams are run on a budget, and that is the side we don't get to see. And so maybe we needed to move Grant on for that reason. But to suggest Grant is no loss because he didn't outshine Latimore in four bloody games is just ridiculous. If we are going to sell all our best players if they happen to perform below a reserve grader for a little while, then again, we are f**ked.
