Watch the minute's silence for Liverpool vs Manchester City on youtube. It's probably the quietest minute's silence I've ever 'heard'

I don't support soccer nor do I have the slightest interest in soccer. However, I would be interested in banning soccer altogether due the fan violence that the apologists make excuses for and passed off as 'passion'. That, and the absurd notion that they think they have a mortgage on the word 'football'. Suffice to say, if I wanted to read about it, I'd go to a soccer forum.

I was just making comparisons Willow, I wasn't trying to turn this into a pure soccer discussion thread. The soccer I follow and was talking about is in England, where crowd violence has now become pretty rare. Some of the dickheads in RBB and what not think they're Greek/Eastern European ultras.

So essentially the opposition supporters had free tickets to a so-called Dragons 'home' game, and you got better seats.

None of this surprises. It isn't the first time this year that the new NRL/Dragons 'strategy' has rolled out the red carpet to 'away' supporters while giving us Saints supporters the rough end of the pineapple.

Not having a shot at you Captain, you seem like a good fella and I don't blame you for taking advantage of the deal on offer.

I don't think they were "free" at all. They were just costed in as part of our season tickets. When I was contacted about it I went and looked it up and it was part of our season ticket package. As such it was not free.

The point is, we rarely see similar offers made available to Saints supporters. So in real terms we are seeing opposition supporters getting a better deal at our designated 'home' games.

The same is happening this week at Homebush. Canterbury supporters are getting a 2 for 1 offer.

So, for want of a better description, opposition supporters are getting a free ride. And this is compromising our home ground advantage.

My son and I arrived at the ground almost 2 hours before kick off, went to buy tickets to be told there were no more General Admittance tickets left. So we had to $10 more for Bronze tickets, sitting up way in a stand to see that there were clearly hundreds of Gen Admission seats vacant. So at half time we came down from the stand, did a full lap of the stadium forecourt and sat with the army.

Still lost tho : (

This much is known. If only complaining about this got us somewhere, we'd be playing 23 games at Kogarah/Wollongong.
