Not all of us have had the advantage of viewing the contract ourselves. Which you clearly have... Or maybe a club is disseminating information that is inaccurate so they can soften the blow of losing a potential star.

Of course I havent seen the contract.

Where there's smoke there's fire

When you're in that price bracket $100k a year after tax, manager fees, moving costs etc is more like $40-$50k a year more.

Do you really think he is going to leave his junior club where all his mates are, his family home, a team of young stars with high media exposure giving him a much greater chance to play rep footy. To go to a complete shithole to play for a team with a proven failure coach, team that plays like they don't care, terry campese, josh mccrone and Glenn buttriss as their star players, no chance of ever playing rep footy for that sort of coin?

The raiders would have to be at least $200k+ a year more to tempt him away

I don't know... and i suspect you dont either. My club has lost juniors, lots of them, i not only understand but empathise with the anger. But it is what it is. And the 800k figure is pretty unlikely IMO.
I dont know what our offer must be over the Tigers to tempt him, and neither do you. You're guessing, using your view of the Raiders and it's coach to substanciate it. Tedesco might not hold Stuart and Canberra in the same light as you do.

We're paying overs, there is absolutely no doubt about that. But the level of overs is very much speculative.

FWIW - ive got no issue if we are paying him 800k a year, we've tried developing a team and it didnt work, time to start bringing a knife to this knife fight. But i wouldnt at all be surprised if our deal isnt actually 800k a year at all.

Anyways i hope we get him. I hope he stays healthy and he and Cornish form the combination he and Brooks seemed to be working towards.

RLW Mole is claiming that Curtis Rona has signed with the Bulldogs for 3 years.

Meanwhile the Cowboys have announced that there will be a young player re-signing for 3 years today, whose identity is yet to be confirmed.

Was Kyle Feldt

Ahearn has been used exclusively as a 5/8th in reggies this year.
Which is a position more suited to his skills.
He has a good combination with Cornish too, i wouldnt be surprised if our spine next year is Tedesco-Ahearn-Cornish-Ennis, with McCrone off the bench

Again we were paying Dugan 600k under the old cap. We have A LOT of salary cap space. As I said earlier the only player we have coming off contract over the next two years who is an absolute must keep is Cornish. There are pretty strong rumours the raiders are looking to offload shillington, tll, campo and white. That's going to be ball park a million dollars there. We know the raiders have at least a million dollars on top of that because that's what they offered Milford.

Just to add the raiders are an example of a club that can rebalance the salary cap. There is way too much money tied up in an under performing front row. So if that gets rebalanced towards the spine I don't give a f**k if we need to pay overs on an injury prone youngster.

You might be underestimating the tax minimization skills of the average player management firm. Most relocation costs are exempt from the cap as well.

Derpius Boyd to Brisbane was written somewhere too. Probably not true unless Hook has decided to go with a full backline of fullbacks

How much of Milfs million was made up of third party sponsorship ? Obviously that can't be guaranteed as cap spend .

The companys reaching out to help us with Milford will have no issue helping us with Tedesco.

But we should probably wait till he signs something to worry about that.

That's on the proviso that Bennett is coming back, even then I think wayne should cut the apron strings and tell darius to grow a pair because there isn't anywhere he would fit into the broncos lineup, not unless he wants to play for pocket money.
