There is a 20/20 game on tonight between these nations, not bothering with a thread for that. The ODI series starts 10pm AEST on Thursday 22nd May. SL are probably the better nation in the short forms for the game, but being in England could level it out a bit

5 ODIs

May 22nd
May 25th
May 28th
MAY 31st
June 3rd

2 game test series starts 12th June between these nations.

I don't like T20 much, but oddly enough its refreshing to see a contest between two 'real' teams amongst the IPL.

England are an ordinary limited overs side. My money is on SL.

But this is close to the worst possible thing for England - 7 tests against subcontinental teams who cannot play seam or swing bowling. They'll win all seven and beat their chests claiming their back only to run up against us next winter, and our blokes will be a lot better for the experience there last year.

Spot on, this is probably exactly what will happen.

When did England become so cocky? Probably 2005.
Loved watching them beat Australia then, couldn't stand them ever since.

Anyone know why this isn't on pay tv?

They usually do these kind of games.

They won the toss as well and looks like made the most of the conditions restricting SL to 256, LOL

Ben Stokes should be close to fitness and rushed back into the side

Though they do need batsmen. Cooky wasn't playing in this game, plus Trott and Pieterson wont be coming back. Massive holes in their top batting lineup

They need a broom through the batting lineup, though at the moment there is not much banging on the door to get in the side.

Jordan starts again with 5 wickets.
SL out 67.
Eng win by 10 wickets.
This series is nuts, I hope the test series will be better quality.

Should be more of it, the amount of batsmen that take liberties is just ridiculous.

Its covered in the laws of the game so really should be an issue.
