Not sure if anyone cares but I spoke to a Manly contact last night and he tells me as reported yesterday Matai wants out and will be released to the Warriors, Brett Stewart will be released and he is going to the raiders and Watmough will be released to probably to the Eels at this stage! They all dislike DCE with a passion, he has his group of Hiku and Burher and Taufua. DCE talks to the players the same way he talks to the media!

I guess we will find out. He was adament it will happen, they have plans in place to replace them, e.g. Hiku to 4, Gutherson to 1. Would we want Choc?

You bet. Would go well with getting McGuire.

Plus we should buy Bird, Parker, Scott, Thaiday, and Lillyman as back up.

Play Gallen and Bird as our halves, Choc and Lewis to centres.

We can petition the NRL for rule changes to allow 8 tackles per set, so we can go for 8 hit ups per set and then kick (I suppose, kicking optional though).

How good would that be? Flannoball for the win.

I can see Matai going to Warriors that has been rumored before
Watmough to Eels another that has been metioned
B.Stewart to raiders that find hard to see leaving Sydney to go to Canberra no finals football again, be interesting to see how much he wants for 2 years

Thanks tye. Now I'm not having a go at you or your source, I just can't see manly or toovey letting all of those players go. Happy to see it happen though, as that would weaken the hartleys a great deal. I'd say no thanks to choc too. No more marque forwards, we just need fast, classy backs.

Gotta live the sharks.

I was having a beer with one of Chad's mates at the game yesterday. It's probably already been mentioned on here but we spoken to him about a possible return.

Considering he is playing over there on peanuts he could well be back at the club

Why did we ever let him go if we want him back so bloody quick??

That's the million dollar question cardy.

He was always playing second fiddle to robbo. Even when he signed at the warriors they told him he was behind Thomas Leualai. The fact that Thomas has been injured most the year has been Chad's gain. He has shown McFadden he is more than capable of partnering SJ which has come as a surprise to the coach considering Chad was the first bloke to get punted when McFadden took over.

I have kept a very close eye on Chad and let's just say the warriors steady run might have something to do with Chad. All these years the warriors halves have been very "off the cuff/rocks or diamonds" type players. Chad has actually not only taken pressure off SJ but he has calmed the once very rocky ship.

When at the sharks we needed chad to be the playmaker and not the organiser that he actually is

Hope he comes back.

I want as many juniors playing at the club as possible.

Give the other guys coming though some encouragement that they too can play for their home team.

Standby for Reefy rant..... ;-)

Agree.

If rumours are correct about souths shopping Reynolds to us and I had to pick between he and chad, I'd rather pocket the 200-250k that chad would not command compared to Reynolds. On his day chad's kicking game is on par with Reynolds it's just his goal kicking that let's him down
