So Norman is to blame for the bad defence in the past 3 years?

Well it is the worst in the NRL for this year and he is consistently one of our 17 and defends on the edges where we concede most of our points. So yeah he is one of the culprits for 2014.

We were missing a lot of playing talent on the weekend, I don't think is time to be as negative as we can yet.

NOrman's defense has been quite sound over the year. Last week he was very poor though.

I actually think he needs to take on a more organization role as Sandow surely isnt

Norman is our left side five-eighth and Sandow is our right side five-eighth. Yusuf Paulo is our halfback.

But when Paulo goes off for a rest, Norman and Sandow become a more conventional left and right side halfback pairing. This is why Arthur's wants Paulo playing 80 minutes.

GOwer sometimes plays that role when Seph is off. I just hate Seph's defense and urgency

They don't play the same position, so that wouldn't be fair to compare. Apples n oranges etc.

It would seem that a good half can create more points than he leaks.

So really you need to look at the big picture and include errors, LBAs and TAs, 40/20s etc

Spot on. Chipmunk can tell you how poor Norman's defensive stats were at fullback last year. It's a position conducive to missing tackles. He's much better defending in the line, as shown by his low miss rate, the odd shocker notwithstanding.

What we need this week is our forwards to have a go. Get up there and get on top of Souths early. We don't have Peats to add the aggression so I hope De Gois sprints up and makes first contact. If not him then Paulo needs to.

Also, we need to focus on getting more offloads and decoy runners to run off Paulo/Sandow/Norman.

Agree 100% on the aggression, offloads and decoy runners. When do the refs get named? It shouldn't matter, but for us it does.

Refs have now been named as Jared Maxwell and Gavin Reynolds, with Steve Clark and Luke Patten as video refs.
