The knee jerk Reece Robinson signing baffles me. I was hoping for a marquee plan B. Like Snake.

I hope that it's Izzy for 2016 and Robo is a fill in. If they announce a 3 year deal with the Eels I'll literally spew.

You would assume that Robinson was signed at least a few days ago, probably more as a squad replacement for Hunt. Handy given what's just happened....he's no Hayne but at least he's a fullback should we be unable to sign anyone else, and a pretty handy one.

We as a club are a joke. The NRL is a joke. Between the blokes that run the game and the blokes that control a game this year was abysmal despite the fact we actually improved. Would Hayne have been costing us anywhere near $1.2M on our cap? He qualified for the long-serving player allowance and would have had significant third-party agreements, probably better than he could get at almost all other clubs as he is synonymous with Parra.

If he comes back, does he still qualify for the long-serving player allowance?

Words cannot describe how much I agree with you. Well done mate. Management at all levels in the NRL is amateurish. But hey the 8th immortal by his own admission was high on drugs for most of his career and is still with the NRL and works with channel 9 who keep broadcasting their signal in standard definition. :crazy:

I don't recall ever saying we should make no more signings. In fact I'm calling for an.offer to be thrown at any and all available fullbacks earlier in this very thread. Do you seriously think losing Hayne, as big a blow as it is, puts us in the same class as Cronulla and the Tigers? Even the Dragons? I wouldn't be confident of making the 8 but I don't feel we will run dead last without assistance from injuries, and who can predict that?

Robinson would be close to min contract....Good talent-good singing-add depth
age 27 and plenty of skill.Would be happy for him to be given first crack at fullback.

We also can go with Norman and bring Matterson into the team. Hoppa should stay at centre IMO.

Id go for Blake ferguson TBH. Boyd-Hoffman-Barba all be ok but Blakes the man id want

If we don't sign any further players I am extremely confident that we will struggle to win more than 4-5 games. The Plane is the whole team at the moment.
