If Boyd stays:
1. Boyd
2. Mata'utia
3. Gagai
4. Leilua
5. McManus/uate
6. Mullen
7. Roberts
8. Snowden
9. Clydesdale
10. K Sims
11. Scott (c)
12. T Sims
13. Smith

14. Stockwell
15. Rochow
16. Vaivai
17. Mataora

If Boyd doesn't stay, move sione to fullback and have McManus and uate on the wings.

Hopefully one of the stupider ESL clubs throws a retirement package at Gidley during the offseason

That would be my side exactly apart from maybe Tapine over Stockwell (if he's signed) or maybe Levi on the bench to give Clydesdale a rest. I know he's very young but he's mature.

We obviously have a huge lack of experience problem when it comes to props (especially on the bench) but hopefully some of the young blokes will do a good job for us. Having such a tough and experienced backrow will help a lot.

14 Pauli Pauli
15 Junior Paulo
16 Richie Fa'aso
17 Kenny Edwards

Corey Norman sent to stud
Peats is wasted at five eighth, his defence is far too good to not have him in the middle. De Gois is a total plod by comparison... Though not a bad backup to have overall. I also hope Champion finally finds his feet, but his defence leaves a lot to be desired and his injuries have crueller him

Yep. No offload, Doesn't break the line better off starting and giving big minutes and high workrate

He bends the line though and takes a bit to pull down, I think at one stage when they looked at the stats Grant was one of the best at advancing further when hitting the defensive line, averaging over 2m every hit up, he was second to only McKendry which is why I was shocked the Panthers let him go.

Broncos line up if we keep Barba ( which I think is highly likely ) and don't get Boyd ( if reports of him telling Knights players he is staying are true ) will most likely be.

1 - Barba
2 - Copely
3 - Reed
4 - Hodges
5 - Vidot
6 - Milford
7 - Hunt
8 - McGuire
9 - McCullough
10 - Parker
11 - Glenn
12 - Thaiday
13 - Gillett

14 - Oates
15 - Ofahengaue
16 - Garbutt/Gavett/Wallace
17 - K Nikorima

I think Bennett will play Reed at centre, he does like the Reed type player, and generally has atleast one in his team, he'll see Reed much in the same light as Devere. Copely will bide his time on the wing and take Hodges centre spot when he retires and is out injured.

Kodi on the bench will add spark and speed, coming on when there are tired forwards out there he will have a field day and it'll ease him into games as well.

I really want to see Ofahengaue become a permanent fixture on the bench, I think he will improve with every game, for a big man he has great footwork and speed which I think over time he will learn to use very well at the right times when hitting the defensive line. I'd like to think that by mid year one of the big bench forwards can put their hand up and push Parker out of the front row and take his starting spot.

The real smokey for me is Kahu, I think if he can hit the ground running in the trials and perform to his ability without getting injured he'll push Barba for and take the fullback spot if Barba doesn't fire. It would be a shame to see such a talent like Kahu fade away due to injuries, it is starting to look like a Danny Bampton situation all over again though, hope I'm wrong. The other player the Barba will have to try and keep at bay is Kodi Nikorima who if he continues his rise and form will certainly take the number 1 jumper from him.

Personally my Backline would be

1 - Barba
2 - Kahu
3 - Copely
4 - Hodges
5 - Vidot
6 - Milford
7 - Hunt

If Barba doesn't fire in the trials swap Kodi in and put Barba on the bench.

Like this year I am certainly looking forward to the year and think we can make top 4, unlike this year we have a coach that has a clue with regards to player selection, game plan, knows how to use a bench and wont leave a prop sitting on the bench for the 80 minutes in so many close games. When you consider our attack try wise was ranked 5th in the comp this year, with an improved backline, more speed and pressure taken off Hunt it's certainly going to get interesting in 2015.

Unless Horo puts his handbag down he doesn't get a run IMO. Seems a bit of a flat track bully.

Great at running lines when the team's on the front foot but goes MIA and dominated when things are tough.

JSL in for him and Mason onto the bench for some more size.

Like the look of Leary but not sure he's a bench player? Will be interesting to see what happens with him. Might bide his time in NSW Cup for a while I think.

Stockwell still a chance of coming on board too.

1. Greg Inglis
2. Alex Johnston
3. Dylan Walker
4. Kirisome Auva'a
5. Lote Tuqiri/Joel Reddy/Bryson Goodwin
6. Luke Keary
7. Adam Reynolds
8. George Burgess
9. Issac Luke
10. Dave Tyrrell
11. John Sutton (c)
12. Glenn Stewart
13. Jason Clark

14. Tim Grant
15. Kyle Turner
16. Chris McQueen
17. Tom Burgess

John Sutton on the left edge working with Inglis and Keary, Glenn Stewart on the right side with Reynolds and Walker.

Clark at starting lock because i think we have too many edge backrowers and we need someone else to take the heavy hits in the middle. He'll do well there imo.

Tim Grant on the bench for impact.

Willy off the bench is one of them. Will be announced any day.

Stockwell still a massive chance of coming too. Not a massive frame though so I guess does not meet the criteria....

I think size is kinda been over rated a bit to be honest. The Dogs huge pack got nullified by plenty of packs this year, sure they made the grand final, but lets be honest they got away with some dirty tactics and had players not even get cited for worse than others were getting 3/4 weeks for. When you look at Souths ALL of their success with their forwards this year was built on the back of one dominant forward in Sam Burgess. Yes he was a big unit, but without him the giant Souths pack would have been much like the Bulldogs and containable, it also helped he had Teo firing with him as well, and Teo ain't no monster. I think people are kidding if they think Souths pack will even get close to what they did this year minus their two best forwards.

Again Grant will not provide impact from the bench. Back to his best and he'll go over the advantage line reasonably but don't expect him to be offloading and breaking tackles.

1. Moylan
2. Mansour
3. Blake
4. Whare
5. DWZ
6. Soward
7. Wallace
8. Anderson
9. Segeyaro
10. Mckendry
11. Brown
12. Peachey
13. Taylor
14. Cartwright
15. Manu
16. Latimore
17. Idris
18. Koroisau

Anderson to play big minutes, Manu to play a bit of prop/second rower as needed. I think Cartwright needs some time off the bench especially as he won't have a pre season.

Feels good not to have question marks everywhere. Obviously Cleary will likely start with Kite and Plum for Anderson and Api and Idris in the centres but I think this is where we'll end up.

Two of the biggest packs in the league made it to the grand final, what's your point?
