It is definitely worth noting that Zampa absolutely smashed the cover off one when he was on 0 and was given not out.

There have been a few low scoring matches on that pitch. It was entertaining with a lower than average skill factor involved. The ending with Zampa was very appropriate.

They both bowled well. As ordinary as some of the batting was you have to wrap up the bowling, especially behrendorf. Neither side has the best batting side but they may well have the best bowling, along with thunder.

Umpiring, not so flash.

Gus should have been out for nearly every frikkin ball. Thank god Carberry can catch....he struggles with his batting.

Who on earth decided to sign Carberry in the first place...especially getting rid of Simmons in the process.

To be fair, Carberry has always been better known as a limited overs dashed. If anything it was his selection in the test team that was surprising.

The other day when Andrew Flintoff was playing they had one of those viewer polls thingies up as to who was the best all-rounder of the modern era,had Kallis,Khan,Flintoff etc etc as options

They didn't have Shaun Pollock as an option

Shaun Pollock > Andrew Fatsotoff

Shaun Pollock was never really an all rounder. Would you call Mitch Johnson an all rounder? Pollock was handy with the bat, and a genuine number 8/9. However all all rounders should have to bat top 6 to be called that. Otherwise they are batsmen who bowl or bowlers who can bat. It is why the true all rounders are just so damn hard to find.

Shaun Pollock averaged 32 with the bat from over 100 test matches. But no, not an all-rounder.

In anycase, it's raining in Hobart. May be no play this evening.
