Yep. Whoever took that video showed enough that I'd put money on Folau starting the game. Arthur will be pissed at the leak.

Wing is no longer all about speed. As long as they're fast enough, height and strength are more important than speed for a winger.

Disagree, for me speed is one of the most important assets in a winger. While strength and high help i think speed is more important then it is for a centre, a big reason why guys like takairangi and idris play in the Centres but not on the wing. There are plenty of centres without a lot of pace but no quality wingers who are slow.

Those centres who lack pace are back rowers filling in. Both Idris and Takairangi are ordinary defenders out wide, even though both are big blokes who can tackle.

Where those big centres excel is in attack, for the same reason that plenty of huge forwards attack out wide, especially inside the opposition 20.

Speed and size.... Robinsons is quick but perhaps a little light. Perret not as quick but quick enough and more powerfull-Better winger.

True, no arguments there but reality is unless a bigger guy is quick he never plays on the wing which highlights the point that size is more important for a centre and speed is more important for a winger. Centres can create opportunities on the edge for faster wingers, quick centres can get crowded being more infield nullifying their speed and slow wingers is the difference between a try and getting bundled into touch.

Obviously speed is only one factor though, good hands and defensive prowess is also important but i think speed is utilised better in wingers then in centres. Again name one quality winger who is slow.

Bad example, perret has started the season poorly with poor ball control, bad defensive reads and unablr to finish tries.

I said they need to be 'quick enough'. There are certainly plenty of quality wingers who aren't speed machines.

quick enough?? that is very vague!! I said in comparison to centres, wingers require more speed or at least its more valuable. I gave two examples of guys who played more then 50% of their football in the centres and you have not given one example.

I get you have an opinion, why don't you back it up or at least give an example. There is not one winger in first grade in my opinion who is a slouch, probably Tautai and that would be it and his quality as a first grade winger is very questionable.

Mansour, Vatuvei, Kenny-Dowall, Reddy - none of them are slow (like I said, they need to be quick enough) but neither are they especially fast. Toutai's not slow either.

Tony Williams was a winger back in the day. Turned like the Queen Mary.

He still had a great impact.

At 112kgs Falou is the same weight as Manu Vatuvei and probably has equal pace.

Excellent news re Richie and well done by the club to stick to their guns and keep hunting down someone to pick up the necessary insurance coverage.

We have been playing for the first 2 rounds with a 24 man top 25 and this at least gives us additional depth and strike power in the forwards. Welcome back Richie.
