We desperately need quality halves. Norman just does not have it. Yes Carney is a total goose, but he is a quality play maker. Imagine Carney and Foran as our halves? Creativity, good defence. Norman to fullback. He played well there for the Broncos. It'd take the playmaker pressure off him and let him run what he sees in front of him, chiming into the attack, using his running game more.
The above would improve our game no end.

Yes he's a dickhead. But he was the best player in the NRL a few years ago and is playing great footy in Super League. Teams usually get 2 good years out of him before he screws up. I'd take him for two years.
Norman does not have the dominant or playmaker game for the halves. But he could be very good at fullback.

Last time he played I think he was on the right at the Sharks, but he's played both sides throughout his career.

Foran left, Carney right, would be awesome, but I don't think it's likely.

He'll have to at some point, or the NRL will find itself in court, and will likely lose. If it looks like a life ban for pretending to widdle in his own mouth (on top of his previous exemplary record), it won't be too hard to argue that a lengthy effective ban is manifestly excessive. If he attempted to sign a pre-June 30 contract, the NRL would have some thinking to do.

Well he won his unfair dismissal case so I think he hasn't much choice.

I think we just need to accept this year is a re-building year - our halves are pretty much settled for next year it's Foran and Norman - not a bad combo and additionally they can defend. There is no need to look for another half, we need to look for a fulback

I really don't think he could refuse - he didn't really do much wrong with his last incident. It wasn't a criminal offensive like what others have been suspended for.

Norman does not control a game. A combination of Carney and Foran would dominate. Isnt that what we want from our team? Or are people happy for us to be sort of competative. Norman would be very good at fullback behind those two halves.
