Alan Jones and DUI Bec now linking Paris terrorist attacks to the RBB on their twitter accounts. Are they serious?

http://www.westsydneyfootball.com/topic/6277-football-the-media-201516/page-124?

Well I listened to both podcasts.

They have a list of merkins who are banned from soccer and many are from WSW.

That the cops would like to use bikie laws to stop the RBB from meeting in a central location.

Were is the genuine terrorist link claims ? Are you sure you're not stretching the truth ?

AJ said "is this not like terrorism in Paris - the leadership have no guts ?"

I don't think anyone has said that the RBB are terrorists, right ?

Yes, and many of them would have deserved it. But there are many other cases that have been enforced with no right of appeal. And not just Wanderers fans. 1 person with a ban was proven to be in Afghanistan fighting for the Australian Forces at the time of his alleged crime.

The DUI Bec article included photos and details of under 18 yo's. I didn't think that was permissible but there you go.

C'mon Gronk, you're smarter than that. Even mentioning it is an insinuation that has got out of control.
I thought you were all for a fair go. A leftists POV. I went to the game on Saturday. 10 Riot police stood on the north hill at Pirtek and twiddled their thumbs all afternoon.
The kick around on the field after the game on Saturday was such a threatening experience. My son was so scared of what might happen.
Seriously mate, you're an ESFC fan, so you follow football. They are no clean skins but they also used to cop the same crap from the media when they were successful and the only team in town. Can't you honestly see what certain sections of the media are trying to do?
Bec Wilson is just as anti R league as she is football.

The mentioning of RBB in the same sentence as terrorists is certainly cheeky and there are some that would want the "mud to stick".

Having said that, I dunno why you guys can't accept that the mass meeting of merkins and the procession to the game that follows is a powder keg and just do away with it.

Everyone just go to the game separately with friends and family like everyone else on earth.

Merkins will bring flares to game from other clubs - that's a given. You guys have a bad rep and you need to fix it - rather than argue that you are being persecuted by over zealous police.

You guys have damaged your own reputations and you're just going to work harder to claw back the respect that you think you deserve. Not rocket science.

PS. You cannot blame the cops for putting extra numbers on the hill. If they didn't and something happened, then they would be negligent.

Are you for real? You do know that Sydney FC also march to games?
Mass meeting and walking to games is an offence is it? They apply for the regulatory permits and they are always approved by the Parrmatta LAC. I'm not sure what your problem is with marches to games. ESFC do it. Victory do it. City do it.
When was the last time there was an issue doing this at a game at Pirtek? Season 1, when 1 fan threw a glass at a restaurant patron at that burger place near the Riverside Theatre. Come on mate. Seriously. [/QUOTE]

Yes, there have been incidents. But you know as well as I do they are being blown out of all proportion. Neither you nor Bart have answered why the 100 or so ESFC who invaded the pitch after last seasons ESFC winning goal have not been handed 5 year bans. You never will either. That's because you don't know why yourselves, even though a Wanderers fan is given a 5 year ban for jaywalking after a game outside the stadium. Another one given a 5 year ban for letting off a flare at a party during the off season.
This talk about linking the RBB to terrorist activity in Paris is just sensationalist crap, and I would have thought you more than anyone would have seen through the media's agenda.

I don't mind the cops putting the relevant security in place. They have seriously gone overboard though. That is the problem.

And, btw, mentioning the RBB in the same sentence as terrorists isn't cheeky. Nice word mate, but it doesn't cut it with me.

You might think that it's all OTT, but you mob have got yourselves in this situation.

Time to grow up and do whatever it takes to get your reputations back.

The sooner you stop playing the victim card the better. Otherwise expect more of the same.

Q: Why do you refer to SFC as ESFC ?

Clap all you like.
So you support the person who has stirred up this shit in the past 24 hrs?

That same person is guilty of a drink driving offence.

In this country.....

Flares = 0 deaths
Drinking driving = 3,500 + deaths.
All power to you mate.

Look forward to your next contribution in this thread next time there is controversy stirred up by News Limited, and also your same replies when News Limited are putting the same shite on the Eels, which they do regularly, but which you are conspicuously absent in your comments.
f**kwit.

Suity, my family and I are avid WSW fan's. That includes young kids. We went to one of the derbys last year and afterwards I swore I wouldn't take my kids again. It was ridiculously uncomfortable and was a boiling pot of tension between both sets of fans. My kids also witnessed an all in brawl at the Wanderers Victory game.

I couldn't give a rats about Wilson, she is a shit stirring journalist. I can understand the police presence though. Where there's a risk, and there is at present, there needs to be measures put in place to mitigate the risks.

I've only ever been to the one a-league game - a derby game at Allianz last year .... didn't see anything even remotely bad (alot of well lubricated people I guess - but I may have been one of them) .... well I saw flares pre-game, but tbh the flares don't bother me - sure they could be dangerous, but its quite entertaining

but yeah just cos I never saw anything, I don't doubt that there is trouble .... I don't really see trouble at league games either, but I'm sure there is

there is alot of testosterone flying around in those active supporters areas - would it go further without a big police presence???? hard to say one way or the other
