While I deride the general fan obsession with centres who exist solely to pass to their winger, I do believe in some cases a team is better off with a playmaking centre who can draw defenders and create space. Our left side is obviously one such case.

If Semi wasn't on that side of the field and say we had Ryan Morgan then it wouldn't matter who we had at centre.

Anyone who thinks the Broncos don't get a leg up being the one team in a RL mad city are kidding themselves. Some of the stories I have heard makes you wonder why they haven't been more successful. Because they definitely seem to be playing on a different playing field to the rest of the comp.

Having uncle nick, rusty and the channel nine boss who's name escapes me now on board is obviously an advantage to those teams. Look at James Maloney and all his appearances on the footy show for example.


Having said that, what's to stop rusty handing over bundles of cash to players or business' to cover third party sponsorship money.

Every year there only seems to be the same 4 or 5 teams fighting it out for the premiership.

TPA's are a joke, until they they pissed off the Comp will never be even.

We should get rid of the salary cap altogether. At the moment we have about eight teams who usually make the finals and eight teams who usually don't.
If we didn't have the cap, we'd have the same situation - just a different set of teams. What's the difference? You either have clubs who are rich or clubs who can arrange TPA`s.

You suggested that there are clubs making a mockery of the cap which to any reasonable person would imply that there is some rule breaking going on that isn't being policed. In other words, a 'conspiracy'.

I am arguing that the rules are policed equally for all clubs.
