The salary cap isn't the problem, the TPAs are the problem, its just not an even playing field.
Loving the club to death, it's a good analogy. They all claim to love the club but they all have a funny way of showing it.+1
Except I would go a step further and say that it isn't enough to get "people that know what they are doing".
Those people also need to be left alone by the partisan f**king idiots that have been loving this club to death for the last 30 years.
Well we need to get smarter about how our cap is managed. Hopefully Schuey is adding value in that space. Having good third party networks would be the best outcome.
Exactly. Until we get people who know what they are doing with connections to sponsorship $$ into positions of power at our club we won't be successful. That doesn't mean Souths, Roosters, Dogs are cheats. It means they have the right people in the right jobs.

I heard a few weeks ago that we are after two outside backs. It is now being reported that we are after both Lafai and Hiku. Assuming that is true how much do we have under the cap? My guess is about $700k. That is serious coin, enough for a superstar to return home with $300k in TPA perhaps? Just thinking out loud. The fact of the matter is if he does not play another single NFL game next year and is again on the practice squad that is more than enough money to entice him back for the first year at least. We can then work on his second and third year. Just bringing it up because it now seems we have missed out on all the centres available for 2016. Apologies if I am rehashing old shit. I just don't believe in that I'm never coming back shit.
I don't think MJC needs any cheating from the casino fornhis trick to work.
Private room, rusty and 5 players. They all walk out laughing about their various winnings (even if they lost), and rusty gives them a brown paper bag outside.
Or adjust to make it seem more plausible or devious or whatever.
Like maybe Bill Moss's The Premiership Club...oh wait.

Yep, it's a premature form of necrophilia.
I really don't think clubs like the Broncos / Souths / roosters have any more success then other sides because of their so called TPA advantages. They have struggled quite a bit over the years like other sides. The key to success is not really TPA advantages but having a well run club.
Roosters only a few years ago were struggling ( and probably have peaked now), Broncos never look likely to win the Comp before Bennetts return while its taken Souths years to win the Comp and doubt they will win in 2016.
Look at the dogs / manly they are similar to us, yet have had more success due to being run better.
Plus it's a cycle with league, clubs go up and go down, I reckon there is a good chance this year that we will have a better squad then Souths / roosters, time will tell - if we do it won't be because of financial advantages but some good decisions over the last 2-3 years ( thus being well run)

What colour is your planet?
Anyone see the article with Watmough stating he had a poor attitude towards Parra last year?. Just wanted to get in, get out and go home. Outstanding leadership. Weren't people saying it's what Watmough brings off the field that counts?
