Peter matatuai must be the worst winger in the game. Everytime he runs it looks like he is going to drop the ball. I hope he leaves the club. I think it's time to see what Tanne Milne can do at first grade. He is always doing great stuff in the cutters.

That's pretty tough.....but Peter M doesn't exactly set the world on fire does he.

Didn't think he was that bad and is usually pretty dependable. It would be great to have a Kyle Feldt or Corey Oates type, but we have what we have.

Should've backed himself against Soward in the corner. Bmoz and Flo 10 times out of 10 scores there. Perhaps it is time to start thinking about blooding one of the up and coming wingers we have. Carr in the Cutters has demonstrated a number of times he is a more than capable finisher.

Peter has potential and yes not his best game today.

Needs to stop rushing up in defense and getting caught out.

Thought Lafai was a complete passenger, very lazy and made zero contribution.
We need him replaced ASAP. Stood out for mine as not contributing to the rest of the great "team" -effort.

I don't live anywhere near Sydney or Wollongong so don't see lower grades. Is there anyone there that looks a good winger.
I would love a big fast bloke obviously.

Any winger seeing Soward standing there would have tried to run over him.

Yep, he's not a natural winger. The decision to just go for it is something winger either has or doesn't. We were blessed to have Nightingale & Brett Morris though.

I think you're wrong with this. He made a number of good runs from dummy half in our danger zone and was defensively strong on the left side with Flo. Made 105 meters with an offload and 11 tackles with 0 missed.

Have to disagree with you on Lafai. I thought today was his best game for the Dragons and seems to be getting better each week. We need to get him into the game more with more early ball but there's improvement required everywhere in attack. There's still a fair bit to go and he needs to keep improving but depth at left centre is quite low when compared to the right (Aitken, Dugan, Milne all right edge) and Lafai is by far our best option and deserves his position.

Peter M in most teams is a more than adequate fill in, but for us at present he's starting each week. I'm hoping someone steps up here and we can find a 1st grade player from somewhere.

Totally agree re Lafai . He has not come back from his injuries last year mentally and is soft as butter . Mata is just a fringe first grader always has been always we be . As i have said before we need a big fast winger . Maybe Mary took note of Taane Milne today for the Cutters ...Maybe even young Thompson . We have better in the lower grades .

I agree he had a below par game in defense and for some reason was slow in taking hit ups from the back, but he would of never have scored as was too far out to barge over on the touch line irrespective it was Soward there and the cover coming over.

o Peter M is really a centre though, perhaps been exposed on the wing a little, like Aitken was..

o Lafai needs far more involvement, even if he cant make a break, hes a big strong boy and needs to get his workrate up like the rest of the squad... agree it was his best game tonight, but still a long way to go.

o Will be an exciting day when Milne does get that crack, agree with most, though I dont know what his D is like, and thats quite critical the way we play.

I just made the same comment myself - Soward was also moving sideways at speed and would have been off - balance.
Wouldn't mind seeing someone else given a shot at left wing and Nightie on the right. Mata'utia is a good back up but I'm sure we can do better.

I thought Lafai played well and seems to be improving week to week, hopefully we can get him some good ball in space sometime soon - maybe when Benji gets back.

Mata is hopeless in defence. He should of ran over Soward. Any other winger would of jumped in the corner with feet in the air even fai fai loa is far a better option

Why not give this Tom Carr bloke a chance! Because mata'utai will move to the centres to replace aitken who seems to be injured.

Terrible under the high ball, and he gives me a heart attack each time he takes a hit-up. Terrific centre though. I do rate Mata'utia but not as a winger, if Mary is to play him, play him in the centres and play Faifai Loa on the wing.

Peter M has always been suspect in defense.
He needs to back himself in opportunities like had today against Soward.
Having said that he did get himself into a couple of good positions when they kicked to his wing.
