Compared to the great Reece Robinson as well.

Hopoate was safer than Robinson and made more metres too. Robinson was more dangerous in attack, obviously.

We were out of centres though, and Robinson's defence wasn't good enough to play there.

Watched the highlights and read some reviews. Is Foran having a bit of a slow start to the season?

Going ok, but not playing like a dude with a $1.2 million contract

Defence is great but still needs to do more in attack

As I said to a mate at the game today, we can't say we will miss him until we see who we replace him with. If we replace him with JWH or Tamou or Scott or Klemmer, I bet no one says we miss him.

Junior is going great and will be a great addition to the Raiders. He will be hard to replace. But I reckon we
should replace him with decent no frills style prop and look for a decent edge forward.

I reckon the props we have now plus another cheapie will do the job for us, but I think we are lacking some creativity on the edges, which make us to predictable (especially as we do have a ball playing fullback). That's what I would be targeting, a cheapie prop and a very good ball playing edge forward.

Is it me or is Gutherson a little timid and slow?

Na, I think he is going pretty good for a 10 game rookie. Yeah he is making errors and did bomb 2 tries yesterday. But he is getting better under the high ball and is always getting in there helping ruck the ball out. I also reckon he is quicker then we may think but just hasn't had the opportunity to show it.

He was but I reckon he has improved in every game. Looks a lot faster and stronger.

Thought his hands let us down yesterday and I was calling for super morgs. I still do not think any harm would of been done letting him have 2-3 games in wenty thou to get some confidence up

Stats have Foran looking a lot better then Norman.

Id say Norman has looked better then Foran. And I reckon Foran has been ordinary. But I do no want to be critical of him till rnd 12. He needs time to adjust.

Does anyone think our attack may be suffering as our starting edge forwards aren't really the creative types, just hard runners, in addition to not having a ball playing fullback?

Yeah i agree, I think it's no coincidence we look better out there in attack with KE. I would probably move manu or tepai onto the bench IMO.

We looked better down that right side with Foran linking up with Kenny

I think our attack looked OK yesterday. Needs to be better obviously but that try for De Gois the lead was great especially the set up by Foran to Kenny to Gutho.

Foran is doing what he needs to I think it's Norman over playing his hand actually

And he was so great there he had to defend of the wing so a gun like Morgan could see defend for him in the centres.

Face it he was another Kearney bust.

He defended on the wing so he could make more runs after a kick. As for his defence, it's fine at centre, as it is at fullback and wing. Morgan is a specialist defensive centre though, which is why he played that role.

Manu and Kenny can play the ball. However if the game plan is not for them to do so, they probably won't.

We have Jennings, semi and takes, plenty of strike

We don't know how to use our left edge well. The right is not too bad except we are not finishing. If gutho held onto those two passes it would've been a different story

I still think move Semi to the right and team him back with taka.

The other thing yesterday was that we should've just gone up the middle. even with the tigers game.

We have a good pack. 1 year older maybe but they are doing damage 1 out. It's when we go wide, we are not executing well enough statistically.

I think it's due to the we are trying to improve our attack thing.

I think we should just go up the guts and up the guts with some offloading. Get some points on the board before we go wide.

We lost because of discipline and poor incompletion rates

Yeah definitely agree with moving Semi. Also apart from his combo with Mr T, having two X-factors (semi / Jennings) on the left is probably making it easier for the opposition to target that side defensively.

tbh, I think foran would be a better combo with Jennings and Semi. Although, the 2 cutouts to semi were good.

Norman is a bit showy and holds the ball in his hands for a long time. This cuts out time for Semi and Jennings.

Foran is straighter. He will either run himself or pass early.

Yep - sacking someone is always good for their confidence.....

If we can mentally change John Folah, like give him Beau Scott's attitude, we'll have an awesome player but alas that's hard to do

I think all our attacking issues come down to one simple thing - passing. It has been terrible. Too many passes are going to ground, players are having to reach forward or back and it kills all momentum. Norman has been the worst offender, so have Peats and Foran at times. I think we need to focus on that and we will be okay.

For everyone bagging Foran, if you watched him play at Manly, he is really not doing a lot different. He is very good at going to the line and creating something but he is not getting a lot of help. It will come with time. I reckon within the next few games, something is going to click and we are going to put on a cricket score.

Lastly, IDG needs to be a our starting hooker. Peats to Wenty unfortunately. Until Peats develops the running game of IDG he is not adding anything to our attack. I don't think there is much between them in defence either. Isaac has been defended brilliantly last few games.

I think we had an off day yesterday. Our season is still on track.

I agree with you about Peats.

IDG does throw some wild passes.

Kaysa was a little off yesterday too.

As I have said before, it goes down to

cheaper of (IDG or Peats) + Kaysa off the bench
