Hopefully it remains that way.

I wouldn't mind us taking shoey on on a more permanent basis, not sure what his official role would be, but I'd be happy seeing him stay on.

He knows all the tricks and what not regarding cap management, what's allowed, and what isn't, and how far you can bend the rules before you're screwed. That will be valuable to us going forward.

Not sure if Shoey is in a position for a bigger role, when he retired from the NRL he purchased a pub at Bomaderry, which would take up a fair bit of time. Not sure if he still owns it still, think he may.

But yeah a role would be good for him - "Salary cap manager"

If we can find ourselves a competent CEO with some NRL experience, then maybe we could just have BA look after the NRL Team and related pathways, Peter Sharp and his people look after Recruitment and Development and Ian Schubert look after the Salary Cap.

He is currently a "consultant" which means he aint full time and can manage his pub or what ever.

Best thing to happen to this club in a long long time.

If we had any other coach during this mess we would be going backwards, with BA in charge I can only see us going forward.

The culture, the attitude, the steel he has instilled into this playing group which was a rabble only a few years ago is unbelievable.

There is absolutely nothing attractive about the club right now - except BA and the blokes he has playing for him. It probably sounds like we're all getting caught up in the moment, but I get the feeling that under normal circumstances, players from rival clubs looking at what is happening at Parra right now would normally not want to go near the joint if we approached them to join us, and rightly so...

But I just have this feeling that BA is fast becoming a coach players want to play for. We've seen the lure he had with Manly players. For all the talk that Stuart was going to come to Parra and attract all sorts of Origin players (I remember there was talk Greg Bird and Tamou would follow him to parra), it amounted to nothing...

His value to the club is immeasurable right now IMO

How do you guys know Arthur wants to be tied down here for five years? If we can't spend as much on players as other clubs why would he bother?

It's mind boggling that he hasn't been extended before this, he's had two other offers to leave but he's a Parra boy. The board would win some much needed points back by Extended BA and give and the members and Fanbase a much needed pick me up. The guys a legend.

Nah f**k that guy. Shit poster....

I said on FB to a mate that BA is the best coach Parra have had in my lifetime. I'm confident in saying that too. Smith was very good, but Arthur just has that something extra about him

I don't think anyone has replied so far saying that they do know know BA wants to stay for 5 years. The overwhelming sentiment is that we all think the club SHOULD extend his stay.

FMD you're a contrary merkin

Top Three for me - Just behind Gibson and Monie and a smudge ahead of Fearnley but I am a bit older.

As far as Pou goes it's easier just to read over what he has to say and ignore it. He is just bored and looking for someone to argue against.

He was extended before this. The Sharp haters bitched about us extending and upgrading a coach who, in their opinion, had 'proved nothing'.

Well knowing this club and their incompetent management, we'll sack him after (hypothetical) we lose tomorrow.

Do you have to take the opposite of everything anyone says on here????

Think it was only a season without a Payrise after he was promised one by the Chairman. I wouldn't give anyone a five year contract after the Smith mistake in 01 but an upgrade and 2 year extension sounds about right.

I'm contrary because you merkins are making some very stupid statements in your attempt to dump shit on the board.

For all we know, the only reason Arthur is still here is because the board promised to match the Roosters and Broncos in salary spending, whatever it took to do it.
