I wouldn't say it's DT's fault the Bears lost, but I'm sure he contributed to the loss. Having Tyrrell as one of your Props in the 17 means you're 1 Forward short for the entire 80 mins.

i'm sure he can handle nsw cup level

Well I believe that figure is close to the mark.

What do you think Cam is on???

It's obvious when we begged him to stay we upped the deal. That's how I see it.

I'm not going to pull a figure out of no where like some do on here.
Just remember Cam is still a rookie then and only played a handful of first grade games during those two years. So his contract wouldn't be that high.

South Sydney coach Michael Maguire may throw Kevin Locke an NRL lifeline after meeting with the former Kiwi international over the weekend.

Locke established himself as one of the game's best fullbacks during a five-year stint at the Warriors in which he earned representative selection for his native New Zealand on eight occasions.

However, the 27-year-old has been unable to rediscover his best form after parting with the club to continue his career with English clubs Salford and Wakefield.

Locke played only five games for the Wildcats due to struggles with injury and a range of personal issues, including depression. He was poised to switch codes to join the Greater Sydney Rams in the National Rugby Championship, but opted out to give himself more time to rehabilitate a shoulder injury.

Maguire, looking to bolster his outside back stocks, met up with Locke during his team's upset away win against the Warriors over the weekend. The pair discussed the progress Locke had made on and off the field in recent times and whether there could be an opportunity at the Rabbitohs next season. If one exists it will likely take the form of a train-and-trial contract, which would give Locke an opportunity to impress over the pre-season.

I'd give Locke a chance. Promising young talent early on who never really caught on with the Warriors always going for more fancied fullbacks.

I watched an interview with him and Denan Kemp (former Broncos, Dragons and Warriors back) and Locke was quite humble in his speaking and accepted his mistakes over in England and will be looking to prove he's still got it.

I'd take a gamble on him. Locke him up Madge.

You do realise this wanker got sacked from Wakefield for stealing the coaches car and crashing it?
We don't need someone like that in the squad when we've just sacked two of our own dickheads.

And there it is. The facts. It would be pretty stupid to sack 2 players for poor behaviour and indiscretions, only to pick another. SOUTHS dont need to be the last chance saloon.

If weve signed young talent (jennings) and have juniors they should be prioritised in regards to development and eventual playing. A signing like Locke will displace one of these guys. Then those players get given opportunities by other clubs, leave and before you know it, we have the dud left behind. #hypocrite20
