The chances of getting farah cheap have gone out the window. It is now a bidding war for his services despite tigers paying 750k of his wage. With sharks being our biggest rivals, and with rumours that they are interested in cook as well, if the club really want farah they might let cook go so sharks drop out of the race for farah. If that is the case them souths would want to keep a hold of mcinnes as back-up. Alternatively dragons are still a chance, and they want mcinnes, so letting mcinnes go would knock them out, but if we lose out on farah it means we only have Cook going into 2017. With no competition for spots it might mean we see a return of early 2016 Form cook. We could end up losing both cook and mcinnes for farah, but with his age, form and off field issues that is a huge gamble. Their are still huge risks at play with these negotiations. Is the risk/reward worth it? If cook was as good as some in here say he is you'd say a big fat NO and stop negotiations immediately. The fact that we are still going through, with farahs price rising by the day, and with a lot to lose if we get the negotiations wrong shows that club has no confidence in our current hooking options.
