It matters if you sign someone into the top 25 because the lowest paid player that was in it previously drops out. That's the point I was making.Once they're on as little as about $100k I don't think it really matters who is on $90k or who is on $110k. I wouldn't be surprised if clubs had blanket policies about how much to pay a player at the bottom of the top 25 (e.g. players 20-25 all get $90k). With the second tier cap at $440k you could have every second tier player on $88k and still use five of them in a season.
