I actually thought Johnston was our best back tonight. Had a very good start to the game and couldn't really prevent all those other tries being scored. He cops a lot of criticism young AJ but he keeps improving week by week. He is slowly becoming a true NRL player. Really happy we could keep him through his development. One of the shining lights out of the Souths pack.

Maybe I should rewatch the game. Either you guys are really good at trying to polish a turd, or I was watching a different game. I can get negative during a loss.

That try we just scored was all cook. It hasn't just been cook that's bad within the 20 it's been everyone.
Cook was a shining light. He played great tonight.

He got us looking sharper with his quick passes. He takes a couple of steps out too and creates doubt in the oppositions mind. His darts were dynamite and he was very good overall defensively. He missed 4 tackles. 53 out of 57. I am happy with that considering the benefits he provides!!!!!

What a tackle on Morgan too!!!

Sam and Musgrove were our best forwards!!!!

Sam is in a different class compared to the others.

Reynolds has had a terrible game tonight. His thrown bad passes, his kicking game has been terrible and his defence is atrocious. Cooks service out of dummy half in the oppositions 20 has been fine. Reynolds and walker just haven't been executing last tackle plays.
Anyone whinging about Cook is just a hater of him.

He was fine.

Much more dangerous than McInnes imo.

Cook is our long term hooker.

Forwards were brilliant, backs let us down a bit.
I was happy with Clark except he needs to pump his legs more. I'm not sure if he's strong enough??? Got through good work though.

Turner and Sutto disappointed me.

The other forwards were very good.

Cherrington was good and tried his heart out. He's just lacking match fitness.

AJ just got caught out of position a couple of times and one was when he was in the line on tackle 4 and not at fullback.

Just a couple of little things that let him down. He was caught out on the 40/20 too.

Can't fault him otherwise. He was our best back in this match yes.

I normally can take a positive away from a game, but I'm struggling tonight. That was atrocious all over the park.

Cherrington looked good, but only lasted 15min and was a busted.

Seriously need to loose the twins.
What a post!! Round of applause!! Couldn't agree more.

I don't know what game you were watching but that was easily Tom Burgess's best game in a very long time tonight. Hell he didn't even drop the ball!

That was a frustrating loss because of what could have been. With the way the forwards played, we had a real opportunity but some of the backs let us down.

2017 was always going to be a development year so I'm not too disappointed, Adam needs to get his kicking game back though.

It really doesn't feel like our forwards deserve much criticism for last night. They did their job. The cowboys had to go wide against us because they couldn't handle the middle. We contained taumololo really well. Tom Burgess did his job and I definitely think he should be back next week. Cherrington is either unfit as f**k for an nrl player or he was just doing too much work. I actually think he could be a great buy for us. Shadow was right about the guy. He's huge and if he can get his match fitness up he could be a real asset.

I do not know what was AJ thinking when there was a moment in the game where he tried to
side step when there was no one in front of him and there was about 3m wide of open space
in front of him. Maybe, its time to give Burns a go at Fullback?

Similar thing happened with Cook. Why pass the ball when a 3m wide of open space are in
front of him to run into.

Clark is improving. For a forward the size of Tweety Bird, he's got a ticker the size of Tasmania.
I hope and pray he do not revert back by doing a Riverdances every time he is near the opposition
defensive line.

Madge can not drop Cherrington for Rochow or G. Burgess or Tyrrell just because he was too
pooped to tackle in the end. He did more in 15 mins than the last 2 seasons Tyrrell and
G. Burgess had together.

I know Talakai is only 19. The kid can't make a tackle but he sure can run. That intercept
he did doesn't guarantee he gets to keep his spot next week. If he did keep his spot just
because of that, I can guarantee, all of the Panthers points will be scored on his side
of the field.

Reynolds was being too fancy with his kicks last night and in the end, it failed. He put in too
much thought and used up so much energy with his kicks that by the time he needs to do other
things, he was too pooped. Even too pooped to pass. Most of his passes went straight to his
team mate ankles.

I think it's bit of both. Lack of match fitness and too much work and at the end of the season, just when he
is firing on all cylinders, I wont be surprised if we release him and we find someone who is waaay less fit
and inches from retirement to replace him. It's something of a tradition in our recruitment :)

noooooooooooooo need inglis at fullback
johnston aint a full back he rarely ever busts the line just like mcinnes cant bust the line as a hooker becoz he has no skills and was far too slow .! but inglis at fullback or tedesco or dugan or boyd can break the line to me it seems aj has a heart the size of a pea too scared to put his body on the line like inglis has or theothers mentioned .! hookers cook and bully and farah can bust the defence mcinnes rarely did .! .!
talakai is tooooooooooo slow he is a back rower not a centre is madge blind???? give him turners spot and clark deserves his spot next week
cherro and tom deserve a go next week
when does stupid gburgii return the fool...????????????
we need gray to take talakai spot or bryson for that matter .!!!!
cook is a great player but his forwards and backs dont help his cause if he had fergo or dylan walker running off him at times then the points would appear.
sam has no help ok mus and clarky and tom bla bla bla bla hey its not going to happen got it????we need 2 more forwards like nathan brown to return home which wont happen becoz we are too darn stupid in our recruitment and we need james from the dogs or taupau from manly or kafusi from the cows otherwise sammy will be too puffed out to play his natural attacking game from past years .!

like i said im over it....Shadow...

It was actually awesome to see how much of a workhorse he was. He's actually the sort of guy we've needed in our pack. If our backs can pull their head in against the panthers we're actually in for a chance.

Amen to that! I love it how he ran over Kaufusi and Hess. Imagine if the Twins, S. Burgess, Musgrove
can do what Cherrington did for that 15 mins, but for the full 80 and when fully fit?
