Reported $950K per year for Reynolds.
f**k me, this is big money.

Is this getting out of hand? The merkins arent worth this.
If it wasnt for the big TV deal, where is the $$$ coming from?
Clubs running at losses, crowd figures not exactly blowing up.

I guess jerseys are a fkn rort these days.

I have a feeling the 950k is bs, the media said we signed matulino for 700k but then the club came out and denied and said it was only 475k/year

Even if correct, we have that sort of money to throw around. This is the same sort of idiotic club that was willing to pay a million for Moses too so when you look at the bigger picture it ain't all that bad

The figure I've seen is $3 mill for four years.

At least Reynolds will try his guts out every game. In that regard he's an upgrade over Moses and comes slightly cheaper as well.

Just want to hope the NRL never crack down on tripping. Otherwise Reynolds will only play about 3 or 4 games a year.

Yeah, not doubting the $$$ available. Just that figure for Reynolds.
Kind of like the Dragons having $2M tied up in the guy who lost the grand final and Widdurp.
wasnt it only a few years ago pricks like Hayne and Thurston on $500K a year considered to be big time?

reynolds compliments brooks better but moses is a far better player.

eels had the choice to go after either.

Brooks/Renoylds to me sounds more promising than a Norman/Moses combo

Would have tethered Foran or Widdop but not unhappy about renoylds at all

I don't blame Josh Reynolds for leaving I think he needs a change. I think he has been given a rough time in the media. I think the Bulldogs were not really that committed in the end. The talk of Bulldogs not happy with halves combination and the speculation in the media of the Bulldogs looking around for an upgrade in the halves it would seem that Reynolds was not really wanted.

I wouldn't be surprised if James Graham leaves despite putting his heart on his sleeve for the club. I think he has been given the runaround from the Bulldogs as well.

He shouldn't be anywhere near origin, but he's a solid club player who would be good foil to a more creative halves partner. As always it comes down to hos much he's on. 975k is insane but if it's in the 4-5 hundred category the tigers can be very happy.

nothing wrong with norman and foran's talent is still unquestioned.

Plenty of blokes go to the Eels with unquestioned talent.

It's the fact Parramatta consistently f*ck that talent up that is the issue.

Opinions are like backsides, but I'd be happier with Reynolds than Moses if I were a Tigers supporter.

i've acknowledged that reynolds works out better for them, one game manager + a support player who sticks close to the rucks.

the question though is if you started afresh and first choice was reynolds or moses who would you go...

moses far more talent imo

And as I have said - talent seems to have VERY little to do with performance of halves at Parramatta.

Reynolds was a half when nsw won their only series. Plus he helped get bulldogs to 2 grand finals. Plus all the bulldogs wins this year have come on the back of him lifting the team like the kick chase try against rabbitohs. He is like a thurston in terms of playing with heart and always being there for the bulldogs. Thurston has the class and skill on top of the ability to always be there when needed.

no one even remembers sandow anymore.

norman worked out nicely and foran was a situation no club could foresee, he's bitten the warriors as well. 4 clubs in 4 years now.

our front office is now less inept than yours. your go to gag doesn't work anymore, times change sharks even won a premiership.

You're right - it's players in a vast number of positions that go to Parramatta and have their talent dissolve. Thanks for keeping at me to correct myself.

Yep - your front office is better than Manly's now....look at all the success they are bringing! lol. But granted - Gurr is a great acquisition for the Eels.

I don't have a "go to gag" mate. Show me the Eels wonderful track record in recruitment, front office success AND on field success and I will happily retract my statements.

we were discussing recent halves recruitment and i gave you norman.

you look like you're now suffering a case of moving goalposts.

Whose been a naughty boy? Its from the Lurker though.

Bed-jumping teammate to be moved on

There’s big drama at one Sydney club involving a player committing the number one sin in the eyes of his fellow players.

The man concerned is ‘seeing’ the girlfriend of a teammate - and the poor teammate is the only one in the squad that doesn’t know about it.

His mates are left with a dilemma - do they tell him what is going on, or look the other way?

The player doing the dirty deed is currently on the injured list - but will be moved on next year in the interests of team harmony if not sooner.
