Congrats on re-signing Mary guys....hearing there was a few clubs lining up to poach him. Was most disappointed that "Teflon Pete" didn't make an appearance at the presser though. Haven't laughed as hard since that Benji re-signing presser a few years back....awkward was an understatement!. Best of luck for the remainder of the season (except of course if you happen to come up against the premiers)
Very nice of you to take the time in between your interviews at Centrelink to post your note. Hoping you haven't used up all your data though. Thanks.

He has done a good job so far, but now he needs to look to the future and bringing the young guns through the system to be ready for first grade.
Don't forget there wasn't any coaches floating around.

McGregor's retention isn't a surprise, and once again confirms the club's proclivity in turning mediocrity into a art form.

This is depressing news.

Who would you like to see coaching them? How can you be depressed with the team coming 3rd after they were predicted to come last. I guess you're a glass half empty kind of person.

So your not happy with the clubs performance this year? And if you are you don't think the collective of coach and players are responsible?

At the end of the day the players seemed to have finally responded to what he is trying to do.

I think a few players who may have caused more issue's then their were worth are gone and the team seems happier.

I am not saying he is the best man for the job but if the guys continue to play with some pride and passion thats all you can ask for.

McGregor's re-signing is indeed premature. Hope is not a strategy!

We might be 3rd at the moment but 4 out of our 8 wins have been against dysfunctional Tigers and Warriors.

Our game is better this year but we're not executing for a full 80 mins to a standard that has the full measure of Storm/ Broncos/ Eels/ Roosters/ Sharks etc. to be a real Premiership threat.

McGregor's coaching methodology drove the Dragons into the ground in 2016 ... for 2017 there's no doubt improvement, and a refreshing new approach that is getting results ... but how much credit is McGregors vs. that of the Performance support team (Coyne etc) bought in to prop up McGregor's tenure as coach?

He's got things to a stage we're we'll achieve top 8 finishes, but doubt McGregor has the wherewithall to match Bellamy / Bennett etc and crank up the Dragon's gameplan gears when it matters.

Yet another few seasons of lowered expectations as a Dragon's fan... whilst we support another inexperienced in-house coach on his career learning curve.
