GI is an experienced leader amongst the outside backs while AJ and Gagai despite being young should also be considered leaders amongst the group.
It all depends on how much cap room we have spare and if the Dogs pay a good chunk of his wage then it might be a decent deal but I'd only sign him for a year. His body is beginning to fail him and the game is passing him by i believe.

Yeah you're right GI and Gagai will be leaders but they will also go missing for the middle part of the year due to origin. I think recruiting Brett Morris will pay dividends especially through the origin period as he and AJ can both play fullback. Anyway it looks like hymel hunt is set for a new home. There's many rumours that the club is shopping him around.

It's all over the internet. 7th tackle made an article about it and zero tackle even made one. Just look up zero tackle and it's the most recent article named "Brett Morris sent for stint at Rabbitohs". It's a great move, our outside backs have been poor this season I'm glad Seibold has taken action already.

When you have a second rower (fuimaono) as one of the best centre options you have you know there's a problem. Credit to fui though what an absolute gun.

Yeah well Hymel has been a let down and his defence failed him this season just gone....

Maybe there is more to it behind the scenes too......

If we do get Morris, I'd actually prefer he played centre.

I definitely think that Campbell Graham should be encouraged now & persevered with in 1sts either on the wing or at centre------probably the wing for starters!!
Therefore Morris in the centres.

Exactly Doyen. Encourage one of the young guys on that wing spot. Whether that's Graham, Jennings or Burns depends on how they go during pre season. Morris has the experience to cover whoever is on that wing.

If Morris comes, I'm liking the look of our 2018 backline.

I think grahams preferred position is actually centre.

The rumour is that Brett Morris is a player swap for hunt. Obviously we throw in a little bit of cash but it helps the Bulldogs because they still have a player on their roster

jennings / burns are ordinary and graham is still green and wet behind the ears but shows promise unlike talakai/burns but maybe just maybe jennings can get better in time i wish but sometimes wishing is as foolish as the word hope to be honest you either have it or you aint and in saying that souths truly need to put their thinking cap on and pinch a dozen young opposition teams young guns and build these kids into souths internationals for australia"s future hahaha i know its easier said than done cmon souths start getting aggressive we are far from being as good as the storms team today but in 2014 we were on par with the storm in 2014 WHAT HAPPENED RUSSELL CROWE??YOU FAILED LAD ....

we need a winger and centre why stay with mediocrity answer me that????

we had so many mediocre players in our team in 2017 thats why we came 12th

we need to off load talakai/burns/turner in my books i think clark is a bench player at best and i think jennings is half a 1st grade player at best in other words we dont need him either unless you prefer continuous mediocrity then so be it

i prefer getting dwalkz back in the centres to partner gagai and id replace graham with brett morris its not rocket science

we need to recruit like bellamy not like how grant jones recruited at souths he was a total failure .

I reckon that's a good deal. I like Hymel but he hasn't really done much lately.

I'm actually a fan of hymel but if it's to get Brett Morris then it's a no brainer. I'd love to see us chase Mitchell hard when he comes off contract next year. Offer him the fullback role and shift GI into the centres.

1. Mitchell
2. AJ
3. Gagai
4. GI
5. Morris

Oh boy... now that's a backline.

Wasn't braidon burns playing centre when at the panthers? Another option there.
As for Morris, I'd rather not go down the path of relieving other clubs of players because of there f**k ups. Farah is a good example of this

Yes, Burns did play centre last year.
