I'm actually a fan of hymel but if it's to get Brett Morris then it's a no brainer. I'd love to see us chase Mitchell hard when he comes off contract next year. Offer him the fullback role and shift GI into the centres.

1. Mitchell
2. AJ
3. Gagai
4. GI
5. Morris

Oh boy... now that's a backline.
That would be a dream backline.

Not sold on Brett Morris
But agree 100% on chasing Latrell.

Wasn't braidon burns playing centre when at the panthers? Another option there.
As for Morris, I'd rather not go down the path of relieving other clubs of players because of there f**k ups. Farah is a good example of this

Farah is different though. He was surplus to requirements. If we didn't have cook I'm sure Farah would of been our 80 minute hooker and done a decent job of it. We genuinely do need some decent outside backs. We haven't had another good winger other than AJ since lote tuqiri. Bulldogs would want to keep Brett Morris he is an international winger. They just can't afford him because they've f**ked everything up with their cap. Brett Morris has turned our outside backs inside out on more occassions than I can count.

Numbers never lie. Well, they don't lie very often. Iif you look at the number of takles made by Mc Turtle, as some call him, then look at the total takle count of the Burgii then look at their contracts you will go straight to fridge for a few beers.
Then look at the work rate of N Brown & compare it with the Burgii and then look at their contracts, another couple of beers I'd say.
One last look. Campare a combined effort of Reyno & Walker agains ×=/@;% on his own & you will realize what went wrong & why heads had to roll.
We were on top of the world & one f*ck up sent us tumbling down.
Forget retrobution, lets back the club in tryig to fix the stuff up.
Cam Murray is looking like the takler to pass McTurtle. Angus leaves Mcqueen in his wake. The young guys coming through are better than the Burgii. Half the price, to.
Let's look at the exact moment we feel apart. I say the second Sam came back & brought his brothers with him. What do you have to say.

I am one of the biggest critics of this clubs salary cap management but in all honesty how could you predict this massive drop of form? Sam has been one of our best in the past 2 years. It's more George Burgess that has struggled to pull his weight out of all the burgess'. Tom actually had a decent year. Reynolds hopefully only had a 1 off bad year.

Im quoting another post on zero tackle because i thought it was a great explanation of why we need an experienced winger like morris.

"The main issue is that out of the 11 players contracted by Souths in the Backs 1 to 5…
8 of them are Rookies.
Souths have a shortage of Natural Wingers
While Jennings and Graham are always mentioned as Wingers they are in fact natural Centres who can play on the wing as there is no one else!
Even Alex Johnston is a Natural Fullback playing on the Wing.

BMOZ while 31 and he didn’t look all that flash at the Dogs, he still has something to offer.
The Dogs just didn’t give him enough ball.
At Souths, traditionally we always play to our wingers and scoring in the corner is no issue at Souths as Reynolds always turns 4 points into 6,

Experience: (V) Veteran, (DR) Yet to Debut
(R) Rookie, less than 3 years in First Grade and/or 40 games
FULLBACKS: (2)
Greg Inglis (V) {241 games}
Jesse Arthars (DR)
WINGERS: (3) We need 1 More player.
Alex Johnston, {83 games}
Richie Kennar, (R) {9 games}
Tyrone Taukamo (DR)
CENTRES: (6)
Dane Gagai {134games}
Hymel Hunt (R) {29 games}
Robert Jennings (R) {18 games}
Braidon Burns (R) {10 games}
Campbell Graham (R) {5 games}
Mawene Hirote (DR)

NOTE: Richie Kennar from the Dogs has not as yet been officially confirmed as a signing but reports are that he has done so
Just awaiting Official Confirmation!"

Yep, that is a really good explanation.

I'm so keen on Morris if we can get him for $300-400k.

1. After 2014/16 we lost Teo,Walker,Luke,Koroisau,Mcqueen,,Auvaa,Keary, Brown

2. We employed Grant jones as our recruitment officer he was a complete and utter failure

3. We employed 2 ceo"s which again was another complete and utter failure

4. Russell crowe let richo walk soon after 2014 which was a massive mistake

5. Sacking Mark hughes our recruitment officer many years ago was a monumental mistake

6. And lastly we should have kept in place the same management / brains trust after 2014 or employed better staff for souths future, because Russell crowe / Shane richardson/Board room knows it all starts from the top.

6B. By letting go of Ben teo and Issac luke and Apisai koroisau/Chris mcqueen/Dylan walker/Luke keary/Nathan brown and Kirisome auvaa was souths #1 mistake, why would Russell Crowe/Shane Richardson/And the Souths board room allow this to happen. At least a few of these players should had been on binding and locked up contracts much earlier to keep together a winning formula such as the storm has done with their smart and faultless recruitment strategies for many years with their 3 big star players and their other Top 1st grade players all seemingly locked up..These ( 8 ) Star players above should had not been let go by any stretch of the imagination which is sadly why our great club is an abysmal failure today i hope your reading rusty ....S H A DO W...

For f**ks sake shadow contribute something new instead of rehashing the same shit over and over again.
Teo wanted to leave Australia for the 64th time. He was over the media and the treatment he received in regards to the alleged assault.
Isaac is unmotivated and wanted to go home. Isaac Luke is shit.he is past his prime.
If he was still on our books he would be overpaid, unachieving and probably on your dud list.

Shit happens mate.
How can the Bulldogs have fallen so far in the same time.

How can Canberra be 1 pass from a grand final one year then miss the semis the next.
That's football!

I believe that the best team will always be the best balanced, not necessarily the team with lots of champions but the champion team. That requires the team to work as a unit in defence and attack week in and week out. If we get the balance right and they play to their potential consistently we will be right.

The storm are an example of that - the right players in the right positions for the balance required for the playing style. If our coach can find that balance and provide a game plan to suit we are on our way. We have game breakers already in vital positions, we just need the individuals to play consistently well.
