Good opening sets by both teams.

And as an aside, now that this Tri Nation has happened - Can it happen every year? Rotate Australia out with Samoa/Tonga etc.

Quite a few errors so far. PNG with a big chance now on Fiji line.

Crowd has swollen a lot now too.

Boas brothers working well. PNG look much better than they have been the past few years, the experience from the Hunters/QLD Cup is telling.

PNG score! Boas sets up Luke Page, 10-0, kick to come - 36 minutes gone.

Also, in case there was any hope of this becoming an Annual Event, Michael Carayannis (Daily Telegraph reporter) replied to me on Twitter that it is unlikely.

Both teams had some players missing , but you can really tell png were much more professional, they looked good . Good hitout for both teams, a little concerning for Fiji

Hmm agreed, hoping for a stronger performance against Australia. Fiji are missing more players today then PNG/Aus, so I will give them that leeway.

Why the hell would you want this as an annual match? The only positive thing for me in this game is that it's being played in Fiji.

Why devalue our International game more by having three teams play 40 min halfs?

Steady on. Obviously as a full blown test series between the Pacific Nations. We're only playing 40min halves because of the WC.

PNG looked a lot more fluid in attack as you can expect I guess.
Apart from Kikau the rest of the Fiji team had no structure and no real punch in attack.
