Am I right to suggest a heap of fringe players will get a run? Would like to see Munster make his debut

Since they blew it against Lebanon, I would really like France to take some risks and throw the ball around. Not to stupid to allow for probable intercepts, but some creative last tackle options..

Maybe a bit of physicality thrown in..

The last time the French played us in Australia was 1994 which was Meninga's last home grown test. That game was 58-0. Will we see a similar scoreline?

So Barthau (injured?) now not in the 21 … what do people think of that? And of the general team?

Hopefully Monsieur Bousquet has a real go!

… and in front of the all-time Parra stadium attendance record! (Of course, that was just before the #$%@^& Super League war arrived to send our beloved game into a near-fatal spin)

From wikipedia:

Outrageous that 23 years has passed … shows the general contempt the NRL has for building the global RL game.

Well since that test match at Parramatta, we've played France 4 times. Second one in 1994, 2004, 2005 and 2009.

We played a French selection team in 2003, as they feared we'd smash them in a test match but in the end I think they only beat them by 18 points. They didn't recognise the 2004 match as a test match at first, but did a year later. 50-32 was the score.

Sorry, I meant outrageous that 23 years has passed since Oz played France (one of the original 4 RLWC nations) in Oz …

Taking on Australia with three part-time Elite players, WTF are they thinking

Yeh really don't get some selections, seems like either selecting to give everyone a run or "we have to react because we lost against Lebanon". Either way crazy not going against Australia with a full strength team even if they will cop a flogging either way.

Julian Bosquet aparently has talked to an NRL player manager so he will be looking at a massive game in clubs are interested.

Closing my eyes tight and hoping France ambushes England and Tonga surprises the Kiwis..

And since this is a Au v Fra thread, I'll say France knows it can't beat the Kangaroos, so they are keeping their powder dry..
