Timbos right , given the right conditions Copeland would be a massive handful (But so too is starc, and haze)

I rather Copeland bowl in the mid afternoon highway than Lee or a Johnson, they are known to spray it about particularly if the conditions don't suit them they leak massive runs, at least Copes would keep it tight and frustrate the batsman

Mark Waugh lol, ask the poms who they would they like to face in England, Lee has a woefull record there in 10 tests

UK ashes and D/N tests, Copeland would be brilliant IMO BUT we wont see it we have a good artillery of fast bowlers now.

Yeah exactly. No pace to work with, means harder to get away when the battings getting on top.

Anyway, back on topic - what a phenomenal knock by Perry. She's an absolute freak by any measure.

Superstar double ton from Perry

shame the test will end up a draw by the looks, one day left

which would mean 1 win from the remaining 3 t20 games the aussies retain the ashes

should be a 5 day game

great knock from Perry never seen that in women's cricket before

womens cricket rarely play test matches

Meg Lanning made her test debut almost 8 years ago, played only 3 tests all against the poms
Elysse Perry made her TEST debut about 10 years ago, played 6 tests (94 ODI and 82 t20)
All those tests against the poms as well

Bulk of womens international cricket is ODI and t20's

Only 2 wickets all day and a draw coming up. Should win at least one of the T20's but they could have retained the Ashes today.

Not the way England batted they couldn't. Fantastic final day batting, they just dug in and wouldn't go away

So we won the Ashes last night by winning the first T20. not that you'd know, really doesn't get much coverage.

coverage? it was televised live,

only the test wasn't televised, the 6 other games were/are.

The 2nd t20 live on 9HD from 230pm today as a matter of fact...

On my way to the game at Manuka. Cracker day for cricket too. Unlike what we had to slog through yesterday

I was referring to the commercial news sites, hardly got a mention

Always gets a decent mention from what I've seen, perrys double ton was littered everywhere. they even had Clarke on the project talking about the women's ashes.

Omg Healy drops a sitter , wade would be proud
