So it's Disney's strategy to make films suitable for the average joe even though the 3 films that made Star Wars huge in the first place are full of nerghasm moments...

I’m not using $ to try and prove the quality of the movie, just responding to another post which also has no bearing on any individuals view of it.
The box office is just as relevant as a rotten tomatoes score to whether someone likes it or not ie. not at all.

I would say personal reaction is more accurate. I paid over $20 to see the movie. It was woeful. I can see why certain people wouldn't care about the previous movies and like the political content.

The vast majority of the 4000 user reviews in imdb pan the movie.

Not really. A box office taking can be hugely put down to anticipation. There wouldn't be a star wars fan alive who would not have been looking forward to this movie. Hell, just the name brings excitement.

When commenting on the quality of the movie, a review/score gives a vastly better idea than a box office taking.

Didnt a total POS like Suicide squad do over 800m??? Same as Batman Vs Superman???

With all the hype you would expect well over a billion as par for the course.

The majority of the 260,000 user reviews on IMDB rate it well, averaging 7.6/10, with a median score of 8 (the average being dragged down by a small mass of sooking nerds giving it a score of 1).

You want to know what the worst thing about this movie was?

Yes there are plenty of small things you can pick apart about the movie... you could highlight the awful cheesy attempts at comedy, Carrie Fishers abysmal acting and Mary Poppins impersonation or the pointless PETA inspired Casino scene...

But the worst thing??? It was just legit boring... I was sitting there like when is this mofo going to finish, not the sign of a good film.

Audiences are learning though. After the abortions that have largely made up the DCEU so far, Justice League has only made just over $650 million

Yep. I'm sure Disney arent going to lose much sleep over a very small group of hardcore nerds who split their time between being wannabe movie reviewers on IMDB and commenting on videos on pornhub

Precisely my point.

I think people that say that people don't like this movie because it didn't go the way they wanted, are right. I'm one of them. My biggest gripe is around the way Luke was portrayed.

Why shouldn't people be upset at that?

So when are you making your movie, I mean these blokes want to call it crap and pull every part apart.

FTR I have not seen it, I don't pay for movies. They all come out for free eventually.
