The week has finally arrived guys!!! Footy is back!!!

This will a a game where all the young guys are given a go I predict and we won't see many first graders playing in this one. Still really looking forward to it though and hopefully there's a live stream somewhere.

Nope, you won’t see many first graders at all
You won’t even see the game unless you’re there
I just emailed the club asking about a live stream. I'm not expecting one but you never know.

Yep, squad has been leaked a day early it seems,

Boom Broncos recruit picked for Rabbitohs’ country trial match: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...h/news-story/0f3d2f282cd35f6e5f245a4f213688b5

Actually really happy with that side for a trial game full of young blokes. It shows you where our depth is at. Really looking forward to seeing how Allan goes and how Graham goes at centre. Will also be intrigued with Sironen, Dillon and Kennedy.

I find it interesting that Burns wasn’t named. He’s been resigned recently and he’s not playing in this game. Is he potentially gunning for a spot in the round 1 NRL side? If that’s the case Bennett must really rate him. Same case with Liam Knight and Tom Amone. Tatola and Dillon are there as starting props.

I think liam knight will be in the run on side in rd1 due to gburg being suspended for 3 games, and i think tatola and knight will be on the bench when gburg comes back in rd4 from suspension.i would like to see tom amone become a regular bench player but i believe amone and dillon will fight it out to get knight's or tatola's bench spot from rd4 on but i also think dillon may well be on the bench in rd1 with tatola.good luck boys up the ante to glory glory we have the best coach of all time coaching the most successful and winningest club of all time.

I tend to agree in regards to Liam Knight. Tatola was great last year and I think it would be a shame if we weren't to see him in first grade this year. A lot of people seem to forget about Nicholls as well. I don't mind him as a player. He's pretty steady, can hold his own in the middle and is coming into his peak years now as a prop.

In saying that I do like the look of a forward pack like:

8. George Burgess (won't be there round 1)
9. Damien Cook
10. Tom Burgess
11. John Sutton
12. Sam Burgess
13. Cameron Murray

14. Adam Doueihi (won't be there round 1)
15. Junior Tatola
16. Dean Britt
17. Liam Knight

18. Kurt Dillon/ Tom Amone/ Mark Nicholls

We have a lot of depth in the front row but it'll be interesting to see which second rower takes the bench spot. I'd assume Dean Britt but maybe Bayley Sironen has other plans.

Rabbitohs name side to play in Albury: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/2019/02/12/rabbitohs-name-side-to-play-in-albury/

First Line Up of the year is in for our first Trial game!! Pretty happy with the side for a bunch of young guys and I honestly can't wait to hear how they go. Interesting that Turner is there now, captain too! He wasn't in the leaked side but is now.

I find Graham being there quite interesting, does that mean he's not being considered for first grade at this stage?

Man, I'm just so glad to have the footy back! It's so friggin exciting!!!!

With Graham maybe it’s just an opportunity to see how he goes at centre.

Alrighty, app loaded. Guess a radio call is better than nothing. Good to see Douheli doing good. 2 months means he’ll be available around round 4 or 5. Guess he’ll start in NSWCup until needed.

as we all heard corey allan came off with a thumb/finger complaint i hope its nothing serious maybe parts of this game will be uploaded on youtube to watch later i only listened on the radio it was quite frustrating having no visual content isnt it 2019? i think the nrl should do more for the game and especially offer far more to the fans of our great game. their coffers are over flowing with millionsxmillions of dollars why not approach a tv station i am sure us footy fans are starving since not seeing a game since last oct 2018.

A commanding 52-10 win in our first trial game for the year!! Sounds like it was a fantastic performance being referred to as 'Rabbitohs pornography' at one stage haha. Sounds like no one having a bad game. Stand outs were Tatola, who would've got close to 200 meters, Brittain who the commentators were absolutely raving about and Allan seemed to have a heavy involvement in a lot of our tries. However, Tracey and Hawkins sounded really good, as did Turner and Kennedy with heavy involvement. A great performance by all!!

A huge win but we can't get ahead of ourselves at all. With all due respect to Riverina, they are no where near NRL standard so a commanding win should have been expected by us really. We also got a little sloppy towards the end. In saying that, it's just good to get out and get a first up win in the trials, blow the cobwebs out and start the Wayne Bennett era off in good fashion.

Sounds like Tatola had good minutes as well. Looks like he!ll do the job while George is suspended. Like you said hard to judge given the quality of opposition, but sounds like Rodwell also made an impression with limited minutes. Will be an interesting tussle between Britain and McKillrick in the lead up to Origin time.

Can’t wait to see how they go against an NRL team next Saturday. I expect much the same side. I don’t think we’ll showcase a strong team until Charity Shield.

Given that next weeks is Sutto's testimonial, I think it'll be a mix of young guys but then I think there'll be a few first graders in there too. But yes, the Charity Shield will be close to full strength.

Even though it was a trial i was alarmed when corey allan went off with an injured finger then they kicked thru and scored a try whilst souths had their eye off the ball, and was not fully focussed on the game whilst the riverina pulled off a shifty old sly fox try.i understand its a trial but still.......
