I've never played 4, I played GTA San Andreas before Vice City and III, so for me going from San Andreas to Vice city was a massive step backwards, going into water meant instant death and you couldn't jump over small fences which made certain things very tedious. I regret not playing them in order.

But going from GTA San Andreas where you can do pretty much anything on a huge map with three genuine cities to Vice City felt like a huge downgrade. Vice city does have a great vibe and soundtrack though but yeah even graphically it is a step behind which is understandable.

GTA V is a fantastic game and the online content is enormous and great especially stunt races. The game looks stunning and playing as three characters are great. But a few things disappointed me the map whilst huge feels very empty especially the northern part of the map San Andreas despite being a lot smaller seemed to have way more going on. I missed the RPG elements of eating and going to the gym etc I missed being able to play blackjack and gamble on horses instead of everything being a massive grind.

The soundtrack is okay but a huge step down from San Andreas and Vice City.

So for me, GTA San Andreas was basically a perfect game it was brilliantly acted also. I hope for GTA VI they either go somewhere new or are able to combine all the previous cities into one giant map of America. Despite almost everyone hating it I love driving around in GTA listening to the soundtrack, so a huge map with lots of cities would please me greatly.

One thing that's disappointing about San Andreas is the mission where you fly to Liberty City... yet you can't go anywhere except that restaurant. I even used that cheat to get the jetpack and it wouldn't fly up lol.

Yeah the casino and stuff was great in GTASA. GTAV had lots of awesome places but you couldn't enter many - couldn't believe the horse track and casino never opened. That was pretty disappointing. GTASA was not only a large map but had plenty of places to go inside and do stuff.

Yep - I used to love going into the Casinos and play roulette lol. I remember in GTA 4 one of the things you used to do is going drinking. Then you'd have to drive home and the screen would be all wobbly and stuff... and if any cops saw you they would start chasing you lol.

The answer which springs to mind instantly is San Andreas for me.

I loved so much of it, I loved the gang warfare, you could be doing something and then called to defend you turf. Have a spare moment? take more turf for yourself!

Getting fat, going gym, get your haircut, re-do your wardrobe...so many great things

GTA V was brilliant

Vice City and 4 were great for their time, Vice City is favored.

That said, I still, to this day, love the original 2 with the top down view. It all just...works!

I remember when GTA 3 came out, it was HUGE. It set the stage for the rest of the games in the series using the 3D open world and GPS in the corner.
