It's arguably our only hope of getting in.
We arguably have zero (or almost zero) presence in the Asian Commonwealth nations, so need another large group of participants outside of Europe and Oceania.
We are definitely making more progress in and around Africa than say the Carribbean / Americas were really we only have Canada and Jamaica.
A handful of African commonwealth nations including South Africa and Nigeria. Definitely a ton more room for growth here too.
Jamaica is the biggest country in the Caribbean, and Canada really the only important inclusion in North America.
UK and Malta the only Commonwealth nations in Europe.
We're strong in the Pacific with Vanuatu and Solomon Islands likely entrants on top of Aus NZ PNG Fiji Samoa Tonga.
Guyana is the only South American nation eligible. They have a small Union community and national team, and also some links to the Latin Heat RL organisation.
Leaving Asia:
India is due for its first international match this year and hopefully we can see some growth off the back of that.
Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka have nothing but could be targetted.
2022 or maybe 2026 inclusion could be realistic goals if growth in Africa and Asia is pushed as a priority.
You don't actually have to be particularly good at a sport to enter the Comm Games, participation and a governing body will be enough for some nations.
Right now we could easily stage a 12 team, 4 continent event. That could grow to 16 with very little work, or 20+ with it as a priority.
