Can't really blame Bennett for the state of the spine when Seibold continues to play Boyd at FB and Milford at 6.

that's the whole point of the shit roster management. there's no one there. they're either 30+, or under 21. there's an enormous vacuum in prime-age (23-28 yo) ability and player-leaders.

Bennett took Allan with him. Milford should be FB, but then does Seibold magically produce a ready-made player out of thin air for the halves? He's already blooded several new players in the #7 & #9.

It's the same spine that Bennett had in the 8 in 2018 before being moved on by the decision makers at the club.
Nikorima would've been fine at 6 if Milford was moved to FB but that option is no longer there.

Allan signed with Souths last May, long before Bennett was even thought about.

Someone needs to come in to do a “performance review” at the Broncos.

I’m backing Brian Waldron, Andrew Gee or Michael Searle to get the Broncos on track

Paul McGregor done his best today but fell 8 points short.

merkin.

Ease up mate, there's a separate 'Mary is shit' thread on the forum. This is a thread for the greater NRL fan base to pull up their gumboots so we don't get washed away by Bronco fans tears. You've really got to feel bad for them - potentially missing the finals for just the second time in about 20 years. However I feel the NRL will act swiftly and appoint Sutton to steer the team through this adversity and to the finals.

He couldn’t inspire a turd from a Well fed Dogs arse. This team was tipped to finish top 4 instead they are in the bottom 4. They won 16 games last season absolute BS the team is suddenly rubbish. It was his decision to let all that experience go. We shifted early and often and shredded them on the edges all game. Yeah nothing to do with the coach lol.

To be fair if that turd is so uninspired, there is no way it could be from a well fed dog.

A Canterbury bulldog maybe though?

He's got an absolutely dogshit roster. The entire backline outside of Oates is f**king garbage. Boyd is in the conversation for the worst player in the NRL. Totally heartless. A complete detriment to the team. Won't hit it up, jogs to the ball. Refuses to defend. He is a f**king disgrace.

The halves are Milford and god knows who. Whoever he is, he sucks. Milford sucks. He'll have two good games a year. The rest he just has the opposite of the midas touch and f**ks up everything he's involved in.

The forwards are are somewhat decent. Gillett is good but isn't the player he once was. Glenn is old and injury prone. McCullough is having to shoulder too much of the load because the rest of the spine are non contributing zeros, on and off the field. They have some good young guys but they play like it. Dumb play and inconsistent.

Lodge is a piece of shit. f**k him.

And on top of all that. Boyd, yes Darius "I'm stealing from the club" Boyd is the captain. So the leadership is worse than non existent. It's a total negative.

They need to clear house. Tell Boyd to f**k off. Tell him you'll pay him his full wage not to play or communicate with anyone in the club. Get what you can for Milford. Trade him to the highest bidder.

Love it when they eat their own. My times have changed....

How’s that different from the rest of Boyd’s career? He’s always handed the ball off to his winger to do the hard work.

It's been an awful start and while there's plenty of excuses to be made, the players aren't well drilled. Seibold has failed to put his stamp on the style of play and they've reverted to doing the things that hurt them in the big games. Before the season started, Seibold spoke about the importance of play-makers and how he wanted to get the prop forwards out of that role. Since the first month, that's gone completely out the window and the Broncos have gone back to five rucks and a kick football. If Pangai or Lodge don't create anything, then the team isn't going anywhere.

The jury is out on whether he has what it takes. The board has to assume some responsibility for the way they handled this entire affair. Too many cloaks and daggers, all to try and cover their backsides. If they wanted to make the big decision to get rid of Bennett, then they should have been upfront about it from the start instead of letting it play out in the media. It was sloppy and as a result the club has really stumbled in trying to move forward.

There isn't a lot of changes the Broncos can make this year. Their depth is paper thin and while there's still some more talented prospects making their way through the grades, they're a good pre-season away from making a difference. Still, they need to make some big calls, they can't keep trotting out the same line-up and it's clear that some players are well and truly at the end of the line.
