Badly need a fast TALL winger with Peach back. Sorry Sauce I love ya but its time to go
NSW Cup play on TV Sat. They have a few options down there if nothing else comes up in the market

100% agree.
The back end of 2016 he was superb. Since then hot and cold.
An overrated talent that is as inconsistent as Shaun Johnson. Some weeks he is a match winner other weeks a chump. He has done nothing the past 2 matches so that means against the lousy Bulldogs he should be due for a big performance.
Toweled us up 3 timesMost sharks fans speak pretty highly of his season last year. Admittedly I didn’t see a heap of his games, but he had some good stats. 16 try assists for example.
That is what is stopping me from blowing up about this. Just coming to week 2 isn't good enough. Too many holes in the roster fix that and then bring in a good coach and watch the team flourish

We all should be blowing up about a failure to convert our talented juniors into better first graders. That’s where the problem lies.
But if you’re just going to keep moving out the players, without improving the development, then the cycle never ends.
I could well see us here in 3-4 years having the exact conversations.
We have just spent a huge amount of money on improving our junior development.

More often both on the same afternoon. Some weeks he is a match winner other weeks a chump.
In the book “Good to Great” by Tom Collins which is about what makes companies successful, among other things they list “getting rid of people not on the bus” as a major factor. Former GE CEO Jack Walsh, a renowned leader and now leadership mentor also talks in his book about what made GE so good. He said that getting rid of people whom whilst they were good performers, were not on the bus, was what enabled them to breakthrough to the next level. In short, Ivan is following a well trodden and proven path.If you think all the players get along you are kidding yourself.
When Ivan said there were deeper issues that he needs to get to the bottom of a few weeks ago this is the sort of thing he was referring to.
Instead of trying to manage the situation they have decided to flick players with a potential issue culturally.
How many of those have we shown the door in the past couple of years?Badly need a fast TALL winger with Peach back.
Except Bennett does not tolerate poor attitude. Those players are moved on regardless of who they are. Personalities and attitude are not the same thing. You can teach players to pass, defend, lift heavy weights, but you can’t teach attitude. Players either want in or they don’t. That’s OK, find a player who wants in and it doesn’t matter of they are a crazy off the wall cross dresser, who has a fetish for ladies underwear as long as their attitude is right.Wayne Bennett is the perfect example of managing various personalities in his team differently and his success speaks for itself.
And we chose Ivan Cleary over him, JFC.

Attitude is everything and to be fair to Ivan, Blake has never really stood out as a team leader even in his best year. He doesn’t go looking for the ball, he rarely does something to try and lift his team mates. Some games you barely notice he is on the field.
I always thought he was going to be a star, but like many juniors over the years, he just hasn’t gone to the next level. He rarely makes anything has open on his own (he doesn’t read the game that well), and needs others to put him in space to use his athleticism. After seeing Wighton run him down like he was wearing divers boots, he is not even able to do that at the moment.

So what results in Ivan’s 14 year career would prove his system works?
One grand final appearance? Two top 4’s?
Maybe his system is the right one, but I’m almost certain he’s not the right person to implement it.
Now we have 2spots to fill before Sunday!
If we want to free up 30 spots for inferior players... Ivan and Hook are perfect. If we want our team to get better... well neither of these merkins is or was the man for the job. Ivan peaked with us 5 years ago. That is where I am torn. We needed change it wasn't working but not sure Ivan can take us to where we need to be
