Just heard Kyle Flanagan has escaped suspension for kneeing Lodge in the head. So Tariq is rubbed out of the Origin because he made contact with Morgan’s head in a tackle that was found not to be late. Annesley stated in the Sims case that the NRL has a responsibility to protect players, especially to minimise knocks to the head. But today he states that Flanagan was judged not to have made contact with sufficient force. What is the definition of sufficient force given what we saw on display in the incident? So knees to the head are okay provided they are not too hard? It’s a joke. And this is not about having a go at the Sharks or talking up an anti Saints conspiracy, rather it is about a total lack of consistency in our game. It is who you are which determines penalties not standards or consistency. A disgrace. Oh well another email to the NRL needs to be written........pointless I know

So it's ok to knee an opponent in the head now but your not allowed to tackle him in case you knock him out. Oh come on the Girls tackle harder than the Men nowdays. Put your skirts on boys. What a f**ked up game we are developing.

Unbelievable that Flanagan escaped suspension for that knee to the head.

I remember seeing footage of Rod Reddy standing at marker and kneeing the opposition player in the face as he bent over to play the ball.
