It would be nice to be able to compress in the middle but that's out of the question when your edge defenders include Hoffman, Takairangi and a couple of rookies.

Manly made easy metres (while Taupau and AFB were on anyway) but nearly all their tries were scored out wide.

What has happened to Kaufusi, Stefeno and even Fainga'a in the SR with Lane out? Are none of these good enough to replace any of the forwards that performed so badly against Manly? Why bring back yesterday's forwards, Alvaro and Mannah, start with the forwards of tomorrow.

We have been lucky to have Hoff the fill the void due to injuries. The return of Mennings, Fergo and inclusion of Wanga will see him back in reggies and even behind Parry now. Don't you realize that you need depth in a squad ?
