NRL Statement

The National Rugby League (NRL) has tonight provisionally suspended Brisbane Broncos player James Segeyaro under the NRL’s Anti-Doping Policy.

The Provisional Suspension Notice asserts that Mr Segeyaro returned a positive A-sample for di-hydroxy LGD-4033 which is prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the NRL’s Anti-Doping Policy. He was tested by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) on 3 September, 2019.

Mr Segeyaro is prohibited from participating in any WADA compliant sport, including rugby league, while the provisional suspension is in place.

Under the Anti-Doping Policy, Mr Segeyaro now has the opportunity to have his B-sample analysed.

ASADA advised the NRL of the finding late this afternoon.

The NRL has spoken with Mr Segeyaro and advised him of support services.

The NRL will not be making further comment while the ASADA investigation is underway.

This stuff is what that female aussie swimmer got done for.

I thought he was done for drink driving again and they were saying his license plate.

Todd Carney may be the grandmaster on how to ruin a potentially lucrative career but Segeyaro deserves a mention in the conversation.

*Leaves Penrith in disgrace due to behaviour.
*Got a very lucrative deal to play for Leeds where he played well......problem is that he got homesick and ended up costing himself a sack of money to get out of his contract.
*Used at Cronulla but never really making the spot his own.....dumped ahead of other hookers there.
*Broncos get him off the scrapheap only to drink drive and finish his career off via performance enhancing drugs.

Absolute waste of a pretty decent talent.
