Ryan Matterson’s offer from the Eels isn’t as much as what I thought he’d get. Supposedly 1.5m for 3 years.

Whilst I’m not a massive fan of going after him before we’ve filled the centre spot, one option could be signing him and moving someone to the front row. I wonder if Yeo could put on the upper body bulk to play prop?

Yeos best games this year were in the middle, defensively he was very good, great one on one defence. He can easily slide into the middle and I think he will be better off for it

You can add size, though. He’s got the frame for it.

He really doesn’t offer much in attack, which is why I wonder if his future is in the middle third.
Props don't offer anything in attack? Ok so he can be a plodder in the middle with really no ball play, just like he offers on the edge..great remedy for some of the problems in the side.

No its about the best players available filling positions within the club. We kept Mansour after two massive injuries because he was a so called supporter favourite, and yet got rid of a try scoring beast who killed it in his first full year of first grade. Maybe some players just need to be acknowledged for what they give to the game. Everyone complains about the players let go, this was one of the biggest stuff ups this club has committed. He would have stayed for a lot less than Mansour is getting paid. Well wooppee dedoo Penrith jagged Korisau..is he going to be the magical remedy to get Penrith out of the hole they have dug themselves..I very much doubt it!

I don’t even know who you are talking about.

He doesn’t offer enough for an edge forward, for a middle forward he’d be fine.

No one said he’s a plodder anyway. He had a lean year but he also had injury problems, before 2019 he had plenty of motor.

JFH didn’t ball play at lock, not all of them do anymore. It’s moved to being more of another prop.

Of course there’s exceptions.

110% this. Our biggest weakness according to fans was targeted and signed before Nov 1st. That's gotta count for something. Panthers obviously have cap space now, a war chest for lack of a better term, so can outbid on whoever becomes available based on our needs.

I'm at a loss to understand why some fans are demanding signings at any cost. I'm more than happy for the club to be patient and carefully look at the needs of the top 30. Another club salary cap issue, where a bargain could be had.

Very happy with api signing he will improve attack, as will barrett as attack coach.

Good things will come to those who wait. Parramatta must be close to cap by now you would think. Dogs a similar position.

Yeo was so much like every other young new light that came onto the scene over the last 5 years. But his game has become so predictable, he creates nothing really, he is injury prone and from what I have seen offers very little.

He is listed at the same weight as Jake Turbo and heavier than FISH, he can play prop now. Not sure bout this season but he usually at the top of the post contact metres for our side as well he is more suited to prop or lock now, he doesn’t even need to bulk up.

JFH is an exception to the rule at Penrith, he has balls and works his guts out regardless of what position he plays. He's a bloody international too, Yeo would be lucky to play anything other than first grade.

Any cost I don’t support, but we’re pretty desperate for a centre in my view. I hope they’re on the front foot, don’t think we can just sit around and wait.

Before 2019 Yeo was one of the most underrated forwards in the game, on that form he would’ve made the kiwi team.

Also I kinda laugh when people trot out making the kiwi team as a big deal.

You want to compare Yeo to Jake Turbo, and yes you have, you are stupid to think he is anywhere near the player that Jake T is. My next door neighbour weighs the same as Jake T... Stupid comparison

He should be lock this year. Prop is easy enough to keep going

Yeo to middle is inevitable unless he completely changes his game. Granted he was injured all year but even something like an offload isn't happening as much as we need it.

One of the most under rated players running round. Always give his all each game. Played injured this season, an injury which for some players would have meant time on sideline followed by surgery. Yeo such a team player. Wholehearted.

Not related to Yeo, although this is the scary bit we do have relatives in common. My great uncle married a lady called Ethel Yeo she was from dunnedoo. Poor bloke probably doesn't realise we have rels in common.:eek::eek:
