Rumour from the w*rr*n the Souths could be about to sign a middle forward.

Sounds like someone's having an educated guess tbh. Anyone can see that we need a middle forward and I'm certain we're out there looking.

Against popular belief I’d be a fan of signing Graham. We don’t have enough experience up front currently. I still rate Graham higher than Nicholls as well.

Just as an insight Graham played 19 games last year averaging 104.9 metres per game making an average of 35+ tackles per game and having a tackle efficiency of 94%. Considering he would come pretty cheaply at his age I would be all for getting him.

Tom Burgess as a starting prop made 20 appearances averaging 120+ metres per game but has a tackle efficiency of 90%.

I don’t think it takes a genius to work out our middle defence last year was soft and I think having a solid player like Graham there would be good.

Me neither. Pretty sure there was an announcement when Grevsmuhl was cut.

No thanks to Packer I find him to be lazy in defence and he doesn’t make enough metres or have a high enough hit ups work rate.

Graham I’m not all that keen on but he’s better than Packer. Still I can’t see St George letting him go. I’m still angry at Graham for what he did to Dave Tyrrell in the 2014 GF, was a dog act. I guess I’d have to get over it if he comes to us. Keep in mind Graham is one more head knock away from being out for an extended period.

Hetherington is very raw and a bit of a hot head and his missed tackle count I believe is not the best at all.

No offense to Doueihi but that article makes his mindset seem really weak. Once again, I can understand why he left but he says "I knew competing with Latrell would be a challenge," a lot of players would relish that and back themselves to win the spot. Not Doueihi it seems.

Also, we can forget about Addo-Carr for this year. He has confirmed he's staying to play out one final year at the Storm.

I actually don’t want JAC at the club this year he would be coming at a really awkward time of preseason and it would mean another player would have to step down. If he wants to come next year all power to him but the boys would be working through their combinations now and adding a new player to the backline would screw with that. Isn’t it good how South Sydney is now a desired destination especially for the indigenous players?

I disagree with this sentiment a lot and believe it's incorrect.

Souths signing Mitchell sends a message that Doueihi isn't good enough. It's not like the position is still up for grabs, all the noise out of the club is that Mitchell will play FB without question.

Why should he stick around and fight for a spot that he was the front runner for at the start of the year but now isn't even in consideration after Mitchell's arrival?

I don’t think he’s past it. Passed his best perhaps but still more than capable. He’s also a decent sop gap, if the club doesn’t see a long term option available today he will do a job on a short term deal you would think. This puts you in a position to sign someone potentially next summer without having to move players on.

He is contracted to the merge,why move unless he is 1 getting more money or 2 a longer deal, im not happy with both options, if merge need the extra cash to resign frizzel and pay some of his cash then maybe, but longer than 1 year no thanks
