You sensationalized something to make a point that aligns with your political beliefs. Essentially you did exactly what you pilloried people for doing with arsonists during the fires.

It's no longer a cyclone, and it being off Sydney is not hugely unusual. But you went and shouted about it anyway with a dig at "skeptics" and the insinuation that it was a stone cold indicator of climate change

Much like the folks who pushed arsonists as being a sign that there's no such thing.
