Lol Vicmongs having a sook saying the decision was just to favour NSW. They did win 6 out of nine compared to the Vics who won just 3 from 9. You have to wonder what is in the water is down there at times.

It was the only fair decision.

Well add to that, if the final is canceled, you can't play for then title and therefore it's a bit irrelevant who wins it anyway.

Well they only started playing the final in 1982 I think, so it’s not like it hasn’t happened before. The Vics didn’t even win as many games as QLD only got ahead due to the rubbish bonus system.

UP THE BLUES

I’ve been thinking for a while a top of the ladder spot might be a better way to decide the winner. The final is just a dour slog just about every time.

Moises Henriques and Nic Maddinson named joint Sheffield Shield players of the season

New South Wales allrounder Moises Henriques and Victoria batsman Nic Maddinson have been jointly awarded the Sheffield Shield players of the 2019-20 season. The duo pipped Shaun Marsh and Peter Siddle, who were also in the running. This is the first time that either of the two has been chosen for the honour.

Henriques was the second-highest run-getter for his side with 512 at 51.20, with two hundreds and a fifty. This serves a timely reminder to the national selectors ahead of the two-Test tour of Bangladesh scheduled for this June. Though Henriques has played only four Tests, all of those matches have come in Asia, the last of which was against Sri Lanka in 2016.
