Jimmy Smith quit the Sunday show on Sky Sports today after missing out on the weekday gig to Michael Clarke.

Jimmy would be better than Clarke.

Yuck.
Not only do I have to put up with Captain obvious giving a 20 minute lecture on who should be the next Australian cricket captain. Now Rothfield has weaselled his way onto the show with a weekly spot.
Time to tune out fellas.

So I guess that Buzz is no longer part of 2GB's Continuous Call Team now that Hadley's gone?.

Clarke, the drunkard ringing in every week... That'll do me.

No Macquarie Sports Radio either... Wish the ABC Grandstand would do a morning sports show.

Michael Clarke’s radio debut horror show revealed as ratings nosedive

Michael Clarke’s foray into the world of radio has taken an early hit after an unpleasant ratings surprise revealed a massive nosedive for his new employer.
The former Aussie captain recently joined the Big Sports Breakfast team with NSW coach Laurie Daley and Gerard Middleton.

The new line-up’s first innings rated just 0.4 per cent, under half of their previous 0.9 per cent rating according to Thursday’s GfK metro radio survey of 2020.
On the airwaves since March 2nd, Clarke has ruffled a few feathers, notably in his criticism of the Australian men’s team for apparently going too easy in criticising polarising Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

Tabcorp’s head of media communications Adam Hamilton said the clear lack of sport in the current pandemic was affecting sport media’s engagement with fans significantly.

“Losing most sport, most notably NRL, combined with the quest of news by listeners through this challenging time has no doubt impacted the show’s results,” Hamilton told The Daily Telegraph.

Unsurprisingly, talkback radio stations such as 2GB (up +1.6 per cent) to a 14.8% share of traffic) and ABC radio (up +0.7 to 9.6%) increased significantly amid the coronavirus lockdown.

Ray Thomas has the voice of a little girl.

That show is only good for one thing and one thing only - Zorba.

Why did Hollywood and Zorba get taken off the air?

Not sure, although Hollywood had lost it though.

Zorba is still as sharp as a tac and he would be great with Jimmy Smith. Both are not scared to share their forthright opinions.

Sky Sports prefer to go with 'big name' pollyannas like Michael Clarke and Daley. And not so big name pollyannas like Way Way Thomas.

Zorba was annoying because of his bias but he wasn’t afraid to have an opinion which made the show interesting. So boring when a media host hides the truth because they’re afraid of upsetting someone.

I haven't listened in months. Rothfield being a regular contributor was the last straw.
