That’s right.

And Ray is a donkey for making an allegation he won’t support with names and evidence.

It’s a harmful statement and Cam was right to smash him with facts. Remember those Ray?

Sometimes even your troubled players need to be defended from an attack on their flank and this is such an occasion.

I salute you Mary as you are a true survivor.

How you have worked over the Dragons board into giving yourself contract extensions for many years without producing even a cumquat at finals time is a miracle.

Legendary even.

As a Sharks supporter I will cheer you on as you navigate through the last 16 games of this season and the whole of 2021.

And if you produce a rabbit out of that hat and get another contract extension you will have to write a book.

The book could be titled.

“How to be a multi millionaire NRL coach without ever having success.”

Chapter 1. Find an easy target.

Chapter 2. It’s not what you know it’s who you know.

Chapter 3. Remember some key phrases and repeat them at press conferences, interviews etc. so it looks like you know what your doing.

Chapter 4. Sign players dumber than you so they don’t know that you can’t coach.

Chapter 5. Put pressure for a contract extension if you fluke 3 wins in a row.

Chapter 6. If the fans put pressure on the board to do an end of season review tell the board you know an expert “friend” that would be ideal. Then get said NRL expert to announce he’s reviewing everything but the coach.

Chapter 7. Get said expert to say he recommends Shane Flanagan to become an assistant coach to assist who has a 2 year coaching ban so Club doesn’t have an easy appointment when things go from bad to worse.

Chapter 8. Remind board at press conference how long you have on your contract so they know they can’t afford to sack you.

Chapter 9. Remember to send stake holders that put you in this perfect situation each year cards, presents and invites for dinner at key intervals during the year.

Great post DS

Well what a total fuc/kwit you are Webb
On your
Day 68

I couldn’t quite believe the following:

“Dragons chief executive Ryan Webb believed the decision to publicly back rather than sack McGregor would ease the pressure on the coach.

"He’s just appreciative of the club outwardly displaying support for him," Webb said during the week.

"I think he’s just keen to be getting on with the job now."

Wow!
You must be operating from one of Jupiter’s moons to come up with spaced out garbage like that.

You were certainly handpicked for Andrew’s lapdog

Unconscionable drivel that you’ll pay for down the track

... and all we have to do is wait you out,
watch the floggings,
tick off the stats
enjoy the media ridicule of you

And generally enjoy the implosions heading your way

“...on with the job”?
FMD
Here comes The Spoon you deadshi/t

Great comedy really!
New instalments of stupidity daily
One hardly has to write anything ....

Our Board and Coach can be summed up by this definition of delusion.
DELUSION = What they think minus the facts.

I'm only 9 minutes into watching the Titans / Rabbits replay and score is 6-all. No matter the outcome of this match, even if Rabbits go on to score 50 more, the McGregor Dragons couldn't score a try against Souths.

Cronulla to win, Titans will win, all the other teams will win, St. George fans lose.

I see more and more commentary about the players. Some not performing like they should. Why should they when they have that mendacious twit coaching them. Remind everyone that Widdop gave it his all for the Dragons and has f^&* all to show for it but busted shoulders. Love the guy but Graham is giving it his all and well on his way to dementia. This same team, good, bad and ugly, give them a halfway decent coach and half way decent support system and they would at least get some wins, maybe even give it a go for the bottom of the 8.

Sack Mary, sack the board, retire the Gordons, f$%^ WINLESS CORP.

The sgi public relations (propaganda) division continues its steady growth in employee numbers and consultants.

A worldwide search for excuses and bullshit to stuff down your throats in unrelenting fashion.

Obviously Management by Design have done an outstanding job with Mary and the squad.

The club is drunk with success and promise! A club on the up and marching forward. Players falling over themselves to sign for unders. Mary leading the way.
Everyone at peak performance.

I am sure if Management by Design turned up at my workplace, we’d show them the view from our office balcony.

I loooove that idea.
Would give me some comfort and consolation.
I apologise in advance for the length of this post.
This is the future man. Forget the name of the team, forget what kids and juniors you have, forget the pride of the Guernsey, that went years ago. Call the team whatever you like. The team with the best $$$ win. Next year, team Kia, Samsung, Bill Gates might win. I am not saying for 1 moment Mary is not at fault, he is the coach of course he has to wear the brunt of the blame. But honestly, please. Brian Johnston you peace of s&$t. You got off the titanic before it sunk, you gutless prick and you have the hide to call yourself a financial advisor. Peter Doust you were the CEO when we won the comp, now the shit has hit the fan, you sit on the board and say nothing. Two months ago I asked my desciples about our new CEO. Namely does he do anymore than unroll the morning newspaper and take the morning tea orders

None of my desciples replied and I have sine read his vision statement. I will cut and paste all the vision statements you like, just change the time and dates. What has he had to stay since.

In relation to to the Gordon's, yes they bailed us out. But you must realise it is not a bottomless pit, this is why they are millionaires. They don't dish out money for something to do. And what they paid to bail us out is a tax deduction to them.

This club is NOT a professional organisation. It is jobs for the boys and your realities. It is worst then Bullfrog, Canterbury, Hughes, Mortimer syndrome and look what happened to them. I will not blah on about this place but it is the same.
Yes Mary has to wear the brunt of the blame. So if he gets sacked after Cronulla beat us, don't put your party hat on because nothing is going to change. We are run by a bunch of reject dickheads, exp players, inlaws, outlaws and inbreds.
To Possum and your mates, unload this player, buy this player, buy new coach. You my friend and your mates are in fantasy land.

Dragons’ secret list of coaches to replace Paul McGregor

David Riccio

St George Illawarra suits are professing their support in public for Paul McGregor but privately they’re vetting the besieged coach’s potential replacement. Check out who’s in the frame for the Dragons’ hot seat.

For the past couple of weeks, largely unbeknown to Paul McGregor, members of senior management at St George Illawarra have been drawing up the names of future coaches on to an A4 piece of paper.

Michael Maguire, Paul Green, Wayne Bennett, Kevin Walters, Craig Fitzgibbon, Jason Ryles.

With more than 10, the list is longer than it is short.

As predictable as the Dragons attack of late, you can be certain the suits at Saints will ring their media department to suggest as early as Sunday pushing out a statement that denies the existence of a list.

We can only hope.

What a Sunday it will be when someone steps up to speak aside from McGregor or a handful of players, including rookie captain Cam McInnes, who right now, have been the only conduit to their fed-up fans.

The small problem for the merged-club’s brains trust is this column isn’t the only one who is ultra-aware of the list. It’s fallen into the hands of a leading agent, too. And potentially a couple more.

So the decision-makers at the Dragons need to think smart.

Here they are professing their support of McGregor when in the very next room they’re vetting his potential replacement.

Nobody could question the hierarchy’s due diligence — especially at a time where the pain and frustration down south is so real, one of the toughest men to play the game, James Graham, feels like hiding inside his jumper.

But it’s almost as though, like losing their mobile phone reception coming down the winding bends of Mount Ousley, the Dragons executives have forgotten footy’s golden rule: There are no secrets in rugby league.

Like the other secret, too, which spilled out of the mouth of the former executive at Saints.

Knowing the year-on-year physical toll the daily commute does to those players who travel to Wollongong from the Shire — and subsequent impact on results — as well as the club’s tired facilities at WIN Stadium and the constant search for sponsors and cash, the high-placed executive confided a desire for the club to investigate a second merge. This time around with their neighbours and arch rivals on Sunday night, the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.

Behind the rusty old gates at Woolooware, with a cap out the front for any loose change, the Sharks are more than happy for the world outside to believe they are battling and poor.

They carry-on like my Italian uncle, who has holes in his shoes, frays on his collar and walks with chronic back pain due to the wads of cash stuffed in his trousers pocket.

So while holding up a bedsheet in front of land assets worth close to $30 million, the Sharks smirked upon hearing of the discussion being had down the road, quipping that for them, it would not be so much a merge, but a takeover of their Big Brother.

Needless to say, the merge — or takeover — has gone nowhere and might just be the reason why the former executive is now gone.

The fact the discussion was even had suggests more about what is happening to one of the most powerful brands in Australian sport — who they are as a club, their leadership and how quickly they’re losing their soul.

As St George approaches their 100th anniversary of participation in first-grade competition next year, they are gripped by their worst finals record since the 1930s.

You have to go back to the Great Depression to find a time when the Dragons had won just one finals match in a decade — as is the case right now.

Since winning the 2010 premiership, the Dragons have won just one semi-final, beating Brisbane 48-18 in 2018.

The numbers don’t help McGregor’s bid to stay.

He’s been around footy long enough to know that his time is ticking with every loss.

In love with the club, he also knows the circuit breaker to fixing the Dragons may just be kissing them goodbye.

For the Sack Mary establishment, who are spending way too much time on social media signing petitions and designing Dragon effigies, news of the Red-V hierarchy saying one thing, but doing the opposite, is like Christmas coming early.

The loudest voices want McGregor gone, so news of a target list of coaches will be cause to celebrate. But what does the list say about the club’s respect for their members and fans given Tuesday’s media statement?

“Although the board acknowledges the club’s performances so far throughout 2020 have been unacceptable; we will continue to support Paul, his staff and the team through these tough times,” Dragons chairman Andrew Gordon said.

“We are committed to Paul as coach of the St George Illawarra Dragons and look forward to seeing him right the wrongs of the opening month of the current campaign.

“We are a club that stands by our people when under pressure. This is a time for loyalty, strength and commitment to improve from the players, coach, board and staff.”

Why not just be upfront and concede change is coming?

Like the Dragons executives, McGregor has to think smarter. Why stick around when management’s support is as thin as the paper it’s written on?

McGregor told Fox League’s NRL 360 after the Dragons’ soul-sapping 20-point loss to Canterbury last Monday that he wouldn’t be walking away because he’s not a “quitter”.

The interview was brave.

He fronted up, unlike his bosses, who refuse to.

Now we know why.

The search for his replacement has already begun.

Reading that I knew there was a reason I woke with an erection.

Yes Webb
On your
Day 69
....flaccid little dipshi/t

....certainly with advanced performance anxiety by now

....with the only 69er you’d know being that Balmain bus route

... and the gibbering foetal position in the Taj broom closet that Andrew found you in after the Dogs’ flogging wasn’t a good look
& didn’t wash at all eh?

Andrew had to pick up the pieces Tuesdy mornin’

& do the fabrications about his failed mate on the ropes having an HIA.

Still you stuck your head up again from yet another failed midweek jerkoff
(with some prodding from Andrew)
to offer the 2nd most inane ejaculation of your 69 anaemic days - McFail’s “getting on with the job”
(“bedding down the coaching changes” #1 of course)

Not much fun being ruled by decree from the Wreck Island Estate?

Exit with the players mate - you’re aboard the Mary Celeste

Just so you guys know, Riccio is a very strong Cronulla supporter, a true one, not like that Sloth.
I will say that whenever he posts mail he's received it is usually spot on. He is definitely not in the gossip column brigade of Sloth, Hooper and Kent.
Yes have heard previously that he’s normally pretty close to the mark with his mail.
