The Mole reckons we’d let Staines go to the Bulldogs in 2021 if Barrett wants him. Personally I find it very hard to believe, but that’s what he’s saying.

There'll probably be a lot of this with Barrett going and I'm sure we'll lose at least one to the dogs.

The Tigers made approaches to him a few weeks ago. He may leave for a better chance elsewhere.

The Mole is off the mark on Burton. Very close to extending.

Yeah but you can only responsibly manage the cap. How much do you offer him without losing others? It is a tough gig

Indeed but a starting spot and associated pay can be pretty convincing. Of course you have to manage the cap responsibly as you just said so if someone offers him crazy $$$ and he goes not much can be done.

That is how I see it. I have no doubt the club wants him but we can't offer the same things other clubs can. We can allow him to play in a successful team but that comes with less money and likely playing out of position

There will always be a nice new shiny toy on the production line for other clubs to droll over. There are only 17 places in the team...................sadly it's life.

What is Laurie's pace like compared to him.

If he leaves I will be shattered, then I will make myself move on. Telly is saying that Liam Martin has extended for a couple of years.

I’d be in his ear that he’s our long term FB option. From everything we’ve heard that sounds like the plan anyway.

Unfortunately, money and a greater opportunity to play FB will go against us.
