Yep.

The team they fielded was actually an insult to us.

And we only just won.

It makes you realize just how much f*c-king work it's gonna take next season(s) to fix this.
Yep can't get excited about beating a team thrown together showing no respect at all for our team by their coach ..... And with another one or two first graders they would have won it ..... The only good thing for me was getting to see the young guys play ....

Take aways form yesterday
  1. Mc Innes showed what he can do from dummy half with a bloke in the halves that wants to back himself.
  2. Hunt & Norman not missed in the slightest and allowed others to take some leadership and control of the situation.
  3. All our debutants and recent debutants did extremely well and should hold their heads very high.
  4. Dufty started sniffing around the ruck and we instantly looked much much better for it.
  5. Very pleased for Frizz and how much better did he look thanks to a rookie who new how to use him.

Yeah, like the time the ball went through the backline, got to Aitken, Feagai outside him with an overlap and Aitken passed it, back inside to Host who got smothered by the Storm defense.

Ahhh, classic Euan, gonna miss those moments...

NOT!
Yes I noticed that as well....if we are to go forward anytime soon, we need to make sure we move others on as well.......

We have got rid of some deadwood so, now we should try and lose Hunt and Norman. That move should leave as with about 4m to spend on:
One really good fullback - maybe RTS
Two really good props to stiffen up the middle
On top of the line edge forward
And if De Belin becomes unavailable, a top line lock

I'd say that Griffin will work with our young guns to fill the reaminer of the NRL squad.

Storm’s King sent straight to judiciary

Melbourne have a judiciary drama on the eve of the finals with Max King referred straight to the panel for his hip-drop tackle on Blake Lawrie.

King was hit with a dangerous contact charge for his move on the St George Illawarra forward, with the NRL deeming it too serious to be given a grading.

Fellow forward Tui Kamikamica is also facing up to two games on the sideline for a late hit on Dragons five-eighth Jayden Sullivan.

However an ankle injury is likely to rule Kamikamica out of Saturday night’s preliminary final against Parramatta and he could return for the next game with an early guilty plea.

For King though, the situation is far more serious.

The Melbourne bench forward fell on the legs of Lawrie in a tackle, briefly forcing him from the field.

The tackle has increased in incidence this year, forcing the NRL to launch a crackdown earlier in the season.

King’s incident, however, is the first viewed as serious enough to be sent straight to the panel without the option of an early guilty plea.

If the 23-year-old is found guilty he would be looking at anything beyond three weeks, which is the base penalty for a grade-three offence.

The incident also sparked controversy off the field, with former Dally M winner Greg Alexander claiming there was “intent to injure” on Fox League’s commentary.

Storm coach Craig Bellamy later claimed that was “ridiculous”, insisting no player in the NRL would go out to purposefully hurt a rival.

It comes as the Storm have previously grown frustrated of question marks being asked over their tackling techniques almost routinely late in the season.

“There is no doubt that tackle needs to be eradicated. But Melbourne don’t go out and intentionally try to cause or injure another player,” Storm legend Cooper Cronk said.

“There are wrestling dossiers that come out this time every year on behalf of the Melbourne Storm.

“But the refereeing community know exactly how to do a game.

“No matter what gets said between you and I or the coaches each week, the referees know exactly what the rules are.

“And if you break it you get in trouble.”

Did anyone notice how well Ramsey took the high balls that came his way yesterday? Also how well combined with Lomax and Dufty during the game?
Sure did possm, kid is looking very promising. An extra few 5-10kg would suit him well.
Nice that we’ll have several capable of individual brilliance rather just one or two that are easily marked and countered with a decent opposition coach.

So sick of the media emphasising how many first graders Melbourne were missing.

we were missing:

1. Hunt State of Origin and Australian rep

2. Norman State of Origin rep

3. Paul Vaughan State of Origin and Australian rep

4. JDB State of Origin rep

5. T.Sims playing like a busted arse

I don't mind a coach looking for a way to gain advantage over opposing teams but their has to be a limit as to how far teams will go, for the good of the game if nothing else...

Melbourne were the first team to employ a Jiu-Jitsu coach to gain advantage at the ruck and for anyone who doesn't know what Jiu-Jitsu is it is a form of martial arts that is taught in a way to subdue an opponent through such grappling techniques as throws , joint manipulation and takedowns...

After watching that disgraceful tackle yesterday and seeing Bellamy jump to the defence of his player and his team, i think it's time the league step in and really cut this shit out of the game by making an example of this bloke and throwing the book at him and setting a precedence.

The game in a lot of ways is going down hill with ridiculous bunker decisions (like the no try to Campbell Graham on Friday night in the Souths game) and stupid penalties that often can decide games. But the last thing i want to see is a young players leg snapped in two because of a tackling technique that is coached to gain advantage...

A line in the sand has to be drawn somewhere and here it is. Set the example that this garbage wont be tolerated and clean up this blight on the game before someone's career is ended...

Pull your finger out NRL and get this shit out of the game before it is too late....
