What’s the story behind it all though? What was their reason?
In hindsight it seems like complete stupidity ‘letting him go’ but maybe he wasn’t showing much at the time.
Why is he playing for the Warriors? Did he just want to go and live in New Zealand, or did no other club think he was worthwhile signing either and the Warriors gave him a shot?
Probably no coincidence the quicker game is heightening the skills of the slick little guy. Coaches take time to react particularly fossils like Walters.

The Broncos probably have cap issues, and the Warriors likely offered him huge money for a kid who'd never played first grade. He doesn't really offer much of what the Broncos lack, which is leadership and experience. They have plenty of talent.

from what I have read is the warriors offered crazy money for the 18 year old with out any NRL games......and considering broncos cap isn’t in a great position they could really match it...

so I say it’s more poor cap / squad management then not rating him oposed to Walker where they completely f**ked up the retention/negotiations.....

Although he kinda got outplayed by a 100 year old on a pie and coke tonight.

Absolutely. It's why ppl/media shouldn't carry on like they do. Coaches are also starting to work him out. Hes been bashed up since our forwards showed them how.
I don't think the media has anything to do with it. When his forwards win he's the next Thurston. When they don't he's the next Sean O'Sullivan.

On Reece Walsh, the footballer with the girl eyes. How good is this kid? My God!

What he did last night, wow, what a player. Does he remind anyone else of Lockyer? Not Lockyer's gliding speed when he was young, but his footballing brain and passing to size up a situation and the way he can deliver the pass equally as good on either side of the park. This kid will eventually be a 5/8th just like Lockyer too.

And the footwork, just wow!

What the hell Broncos? Whoever made the decision to let him go should be fired immediately. How could anyone not see this kids over the top talent? They should not be employed by the game. If I were a Broncos fan I would be demanding heads to roll. Add not wanting Walker and the Broncos are a basket case and total laughing stock.

So glad that those days for now at least are over from our perspective. But the Broncos, I can't believe that they didn't see the value in the two most gifted teenage play makers I have seen come through in maybe decades.

I can't stop shaking my head at the total dumb blindness of their retention committee. So glad that it is not us.
My thoughts after seeing him be run down easily by Gutho is that his best spot would be in the halves. Need speed to be a good f/b these days imo.

So another couple of once in a generation players if it weren't for mental health issues? They're popping up all over the place.
Jarryd Hayne says hi from Parklea. Do you think that he was a Oncer ? By your reckoning, at what point are you awarded the Oncer tag ? As a rookie or a veteran?

Which of Ella Price Kenny Sterlo Cronin did you say were worthy of the Oncer tag ? You left it as maybe Kenny or Price ?

i don’t think it matters when they are classed as once in a generation players. It’s more that by the very definition of ‘ONCE’ is that there can only be one in that generation. Not two in 3 days.

You're the one who chose to use the term when it suited your argument and then a few days later you said there's a guy even better than that. So he must be the best player ever. Let's say a generation is 25 years, then there should be about four or five players you could actually class as once in a generation.

You two are once in a generation contrarians. You'll have to argue amongst yourselves who is THE Oncer or if you can have two.

Maybe this thread will help you. Or not.

Hopefully when the second Brisbane team gets in they will get Walsh and Walker back to their home town which will be even more painful for the Broncos.
